Well, let's go.

Mettenberger - 58.0% completion percentage, 2300 yards, 16 TDs, 7 INTs

I"m on the fence with Metts numbers. On the one hand, I think he provides us with the opportunity to throw for about 2500 yards, 22 touchdowns, 11 interceptions. On the other hand, I could see the total yards number being higher or lower depending on how much we run. We ran for about 2800 yards last year, return everyone at the running back position, and basically the entire offensive line. So we'll run the ball to win, but teams will continue to stack the box and make us throw it, and I think Mett can do it.

So if we're less one-dimensional, we may run less, but for a higher average. So I'm not sure.

Best guess:

Mett: 2600 yards, 20 touchdowns, 11 interceptions.
RBs: 2500 yards, 40 touchdowns

So I'm banking on throwing for more yards and offsetting that by running for less. But who knows.

LSU ran for 2836 yards last year (202.6 YPG). Those stats picked up considerably in the latter parts of the season.

LSU ran for 1101 yards in the first six games of the regular season and 1495 in the last six games of the regular season.

I'll be shocked if LSU doesn't top 3000 rushing yards on the season, with that said.

I think we'll run a similar number of plays though. So I have to find some common ground between increasing our passing numbers by offsetting rushing.

But it could easily be 3000 rushing. I think we'll be much better on offense this year. Much.

Another thing that will hurt LSU is the fact that we have great special teams, will win the field position battle with most team, strong defense, and a short field.

We had a great scoring offense last year, but not an amazing total yardage. I could see that happening again.

the difference was that Ware lost his carries as he should have to Hilliard. Ware is a pretty sorry college back...Hilliard has the potential and blood line to be great.

Ware came in overweight and never got back on track. He's already lost weight, as have some of our other guys, and it will benefit us. He lost a step, and I think he can get it back.

There are a lot of factors that go into that.

It must be easy to score when you start every drive at the 40

his only record of being worth a shite was one game in 2010 vs. a Big 12 defense. Miles giving his carries to Hilliard will be a crime.

He had flashes that year in other games as well and played well in the spring after his freshman year so we had high hopes. But he was overweight and not nearly as effective.

It will still be a lot of guys vying for carries and I'm not too worried about who is getting the carries because they'll all get some.

Lol i was about to ask if these were ncaa 13 predictions lol, im not sure how many 4000 yard passers the sec has had lately.

Murray will hover around 3000June yards and 25 tds

The rbs will combine for around 2000 (#socrow, malcome and marshall)

Look for Marlon Brown to finally break through.

Defense will rank #1 in the league, not because im a homer but because of the schedule
