I wish Army and Navy both had a little more meat on their schedules.
There's a real scenario where they both win out, lower ranked team wins the conference championship, and the other wins Army-Navy the next week.
If the conference championship loser just had one or two more quality wins they would have a real playoff case.

Assuming Oregon and Ohio State win out (which would mean they beat Penn State and IU), the final Big 10 standings could look like this:
12-0 Oregon
11-1 Ohio State
11-1 Penn State
11-1 Indiana
I think Indiana is the most likely option for the committee to leave out. Weak brand and schedule unless they beat the Buckeyes.

I’ve seen several sec teams that could easily win big 12 and acc but we had to cater to them to get to the 12 team playoff to begin with
Arkansas losing to the Pokes won't help our cause this year..

It obviously depends on who you are comparing them too..
10-2 Georgia?
losses to Texas & Alabama
wins over Ole Miss, Tennessee, Clemson, etc.
Georgia should be in.
10-2 LSU?
losses to USC & Alabama
wins over Ole Miss, Texas A&M
It's a little closer imo.
The ACC has a bunch of teams that could finish 11-1 or 10-2
SMU 5-1 @ Duke vs Pitt
Pitt 6-0 @SMU vs Clemson @ Louisville, Syracuse
Clemson 5-1 vs Louisville, @ Pitt
Miami 6-0 @Louisivlle, Duke, @ Syracuse
Syracuse 5-1 Miami, @ Pitt
Duke 5-1 SMU @ Miami
I don't know how they are going to measure the teams at the end of the year.. I just don't know our OOC schedule isn't going to help this year.

Yes, fair, definitely matters who else is in the picture from other conferences. Was looking solely at which Big 10 teams would be taken in that scenario.

If Army wins out that means beating ND, which would likely eliminate ND. Just don't see the case being made with 2 non P4 losses. This also leaves Boise State in an interesting spot if they win out. Their one loss could be to an undefeated Oregon.
eta: The playoff berths will go out before the Army/Navy game.

Default guess:
Five conference champs: SEC, B10, B12, ACC, G5
Seven at large:
One: Notre Dame (if A&M is credible)
Five more combined B10 and SEC
One more ACC, G5, or B12
Best guess is four total from SEC among Texas, A&M, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, OM and three total from B10 among Oregon, Ohio State, PSU, Indiana

ND and A&M could both get in, if they win out.

Nah. Any 1-loss major conference team is in.
The big question will be what happens with ND if they lose their second game against USC at the end of the year. It's their only remaining road game (they only had 3 road games this season). USC is already 3-3 so it wouldn't be a particularly good loss. And it would be the last thing on people's minds as it's their final game.

If they both go undefeated, they will first play in the American Championship Game 12/7. The winner of that game will almost certainly be in the playoffs.. but then they would play again on 12/14 before the playoffs start 12/21.
It's kind of weird, but it could also be kind of awesome.. but that would require both of them to beat Notre Dame. 1 of them might do it.. but both isn't likely.. then again, I haven't watched either of them play.
