Auburn has 5 wins against the projected field and zero losses outside the field. Barring a catastrophic loss to LSU or Ole Miss at home, we aren’t going to miss the Tournament.

I mean compare Auburn’s resume to Lunardi’s first two teams out, TCU and Virginia Tech:

NET:
31- Auburn
47- TCU
51- Virginia Tech

WAB Rank:
32- Auburn
52- TCU
44- Virginia Tech

KenPom:
31- Auburn
53- TCU
54- Virginia Tech

Wins against the projected field (NET Ranking shown):

5- Auburn (#7 Florida, #20 Arkansas, #24 St John’s, #29 NC State, #48 Texas)

3- TCU (#7 Florida, #9 Iowa State, #37 Wisconsin)

2- Virginia Tech (#18 Virginia, #33 Clemson)

Losses to teams outside the projected field:

0- Auburn

4- TCU (#79 Colorado, #88 Notre Dame, #130 Utah, #222 New Orleans)

3- Virginia Tech (#48 VCU, #65 Wake Forest, #69 Stanford)

The gap between Auburn’s resume and the resumes of the two teams right on the outside of the bubble is massive. While Auburn isn’t a lock at the moment, it would take quite a collapse to fall behind either of those teams or anyone else on the bubble at the moment.

Better question:

Which 1-5 seed will Bama lose to in the Tournament? Nate Chokes can’t beat those teams.
