Throw on top that you are replacing your 2 starting CBs with sophomores and were ranked 98th nationally in pass defense last year

Doesn't sound like our pass defense can get any worse. And if we werent beating every team by 2 TD's then they might not be throwing the ball so often late in the game.

Rewind 1 year, if i would have said Lucas and Washington were going to be 2 of our top 3 receivers you would have laughed at me or said "Who are they?" I promise we will have 2 receivers put up numbers similar to or better than Lucas and Washington. DGB = Irreplaceable on the field.

Also, Josey had more TDs then every other RB on your team combined. he had a better YPC than the rest of them and had 600 yards more than the next closest.

Josey had 60 more carries then the nest closest and we had 3 backs with a 6 or better YPC

You are 1 game above .500 in vs the SEC in 2 years. Last year was a severe case of injuries for UGA (game right before yours) and UF. Both those teams had a number of injuries never really seen before.

except by Missouri the year before? how quickly we forget

Keep in mind that UGA did win @Missouri 2 years ago, so don't act like its tough for us to travel there.

I never said you have trouble playing at Faurot. I will say if you come in expecting an easy win, you will be nervous the entire game

so predicting it this year is foolish.

But isn't this the objective of the OP?

UT is "on the rise" because they actually show signs of improvement and potential future success,

So going 12-2 and beating you at home in a game where our starting QB got hurt (since we like talking about injuries) isn't showing signs of future success? Got it.

Why is this difficult for you? Going 12-2 means you're already there. A team that for 5 years has shown not even the slightest glimmer of hope beating a top 10 team and pushing another to OT shows promise. Therefore you can rationally assume they are "on the rise". It wasn't a slight at Missouri, geez.

You are right, i wasn't thinking about Tennessee in my responses, only Mizzou. I will try to remove my blinders when posting on this board from now on. UT is definitely on the rise from where they were 5 years ago, no more debating that one

Uh....no, Florida in 2013 had more injured starters than any team since Marshall in 1970. (all due respect)

Florida lost 17 starters to injury over the course of the year. The only reason Florida isn't the favorite in the East this year is due to schedule. Seriously, I'm not a huge Muschamp fan but people need to realize that even a bad coach can autopilot Florida to a top 3 finish in the East (you know because they've only been outside the top 3, 2 times since 1990 and all).

East:

1. USC - Dylan Thompson + Mike Davis with OBC calling the plays is going to equal another 10+ win team. When you consider they get UGA and Mizzou at home, I think you must put them as favorites to win the East.

2. Mizzou - No one seems to be talking about Matty Mauk leading Pinkel's explosive offense. My question is if they have a RB or 2 to lean on this season. The defending SEC East champs deserve some respect.

3. UGA - Gurley. That's all you really need to say. But having to play @ Mizzou and @ USC, UF on a neutral site, and Auburn at home... schedule just won't be the easiest road to an SEC East championship.

I have a hard time discounting Florida. They could be in that top 3.

Well, there are too many unknowns at this point. Have to see it on teh field.

1) How will Driskel be a year after breaking his leg? How will be perform in a new offense (albeit one better suited for his skills)?

2) Will the WRs finally break out?

3) Will the secondary, other than Hargreaves, step up and make an impact, despite lack of experience?

4) The schedule.
