I think it is a major big deal. Newton was recruited to run the Tebow run plays that enable the spread option to work. Brantley is a drop back passer which is not the type of offense that Meyer runs.
I've seen Newton in person and that guy is huge. Probably bigger than Tebow.

Unbelievably stupid. However, this won't have much effect on the QB situation. If he stays along for next year, he would be a TE anyways.

He is in jail and will be because his eligibility runs out...and its not because saban put him there. Pretty sad when the State of Alabamas department of corrections is responsible for the only case of "team discipline" you can point to.
