he didn't even offer an ounce of resistance.
which is probably because he made the wrong read, and wasnt expecting to block Fairley, which is due to...you guessed it: inexperience.

No room for frick ups like that in important games. Step inside. Protect the inside.
Easy for you to say behind that computer screen, just sayin'...

Agree. And I don't know why so many of you keep taking Warmack off of your projection lists, he is going to start.

Watched him waltz right on into the backfield. Jesus Christ it's just unacceptable.

I would've got my arse layed out if I tried to block Fairley head up. I can admit it. But even being Fairley's speed bump would've been more of a help than what Steen offered.
Obviously can't do anything about it now, but the way he presented no resistance whatsoever has shaken my confidence in him. I don't think he should never see the field again...but I do think we have better options at our disposal at the moment.

310-315ish? Pretty solid for a LT IMO.

Only thing BJ is gonna have problems with at LT is speed rushers, which gave the last 2 starters at the position problems.
It's bad when Jerrell Harris can beat you, probably his career defining moment so far...

Fwiw, Vlachos got scorched a few times this past season as well, giving up sacks. Maybe we should just toss him to the side as well.

Center is the hardest position on the OL to play IMO. I've played every one, and disliked center the most.
That being said, it's a question of options. We don't have better options at center (that we know of). We have better options at OG than Steen IMO.

Obviously. AM does have experience/playing time though. He will definitely see the field in relief imo.
I've always like Alfred ~ hope he gets PT.

He played in 12 games last year. Starting 4. He did play @ tackle though, personally I would like to see him at G this season. His experience can't hurt that's for sure.

You dont get it. He made a bad read, and didnt realize that Fairley was his guy.

I can understand that...but it doesn't make my trust in him any greater.
Like I said though, I'm not the coach. I don't decide who's playing. If he's starting then obviously our staff thinks he's the best option...whereas last season he was the ONLY real option due to Jones being injured.

Do you guys think Chad Lindsay will be in the rotation?

Doubt it, I don't think they'll rotate the 2nd string Center unless it's garbage time.
He has apparently built himself back up the right way, less fat and more muscle.
I think he'll battle Barrett Jones for the Center job next year...

a freshman LT with an new QB? That not going to be pretty

That line up will open some huge holes for the rb's but IMO they are going to struggle to protect whoever gets the starting nod at qb.

It wouldn't be if it happened, but it's not going to happen.

I firmly believe that BJ will once again change positions to fill a hole left by a Senior.
He was graded as the best Center of his class, not really going out on a limb...
