I know he is a senior but if Diego Pavia from Vanderbilt still has a covid year some team will give him a big payday if he enters the portal.

The vast majority of the QBs mentioned in the OP would have had success with their original teams. The exception is probably Nix because he was with a terrible coach who gutted the team around him.
The rest if those guys transferred for earlier playing time or to a team with better chances of making the playoffs. Talent is talent and if your goal is to get drafted, the NFL will find you regardless of school you're playing at. If your goal is to win a championship in college, then yes, a transfer to a program with a roster built to win is probably the best option for you.
From the team standpoint, if your roster is close to ready, a transfer QB could make all the difference in the world. If not, why not spend that money on building a better roster for the future. That is the route Auburn has had to take and the overall roster is in much better shape this season than it was when Harsin was fired. So the plan has been build up the roster and get a transfer QB, if needed, when the rest of the roster has been upgraded. That way takes longer and people around the program will need to practice a lot of patience, but I believe that a complete rebuild can be done in that fashion.

I don't gaf about UGA but if I'm assembling a college all star team, I'm putting Fields way ahead of Fromm.
Seems like osu should’ve just went with Burrow.

You could also end up with the Jamie Newman’s of the world.
Or Tyler Buchner

You are an embarrassment to alters everywhere...

I would also guess that just by virtue of transferring, a player has a good chance of becoming more well-rounded than if he stayed in a single program, because he gets exposed to multiple team philosophies, schemes, etc.
