My mistake then. LSU fans just wished him and every member of his family nothing but the very worst and cursed him every time they heard his name.
He immediately morphed into a literal devil of some sort when previously he had been a beloved, honored, and cherished former coach who simply wanted to try his luck in the NFL.
But, no one blamed him for taking the Alabama job? Wow. The amazing part of this whole situation is that LSU fans are actually too dense to understand how Ole Miss fans feel about Kiffin now.

I like him. But, then again, he didn't leave Alabama, via Miami, to coach at LSU. He also didn't directly leave Alabama to coach at LSU, like Kiffin left Ole Miss to coach at LSU.
Even if that were the case, I seriously doubt if I would personally hate and despise and wish disaster and calamity on a former Bama coach like LSU fans did for Saban for almost 2 decades.

No one blamed Saban for taking the Dolphins job. Every year there was speculation of him leaving for the NFL. It got old.
LSU fans were very upset that he went to Bama and that is understandable. It was a divisional rival. However, the bashing by the media of "I'm not going to be the coach of Alabama" died quickly. LSU remained upset but we beat him his first year at Bama and gave him a nice "welcome" when they came to Tiger Stadium the next year. It wasn't nearly as vitriolic as Ole Miss reaction to Kiffin. Ole Miss is not a destination job, it's just that Rebel fans can't accept that.

But, as the original creator of this thread said, and what I am responding to is that ZERO LSU fans blamed Saban for taking the Alabama job.

Not one single LSU fan has ever blamed Saban in the same way Ole Miss fans are blaming Kiffin because, you know, it's not the same thing at all.
The vast and overwhelming majority of LSU fans have always been gracious, understanding, magnanimous, forgiving, and extremely generous in their views of Saban.
In the world "According to Caliegeaux", anyone imagining that LSU fans were ever distasteful, rude, nasty, slimy, degrading, hateful, bitter, angry, small-minded, and completely fricking ignorant and backwards, regarding Saban and Alabama, just happened to be hanging around the very small handful of LSU fans who didn't in any way represent the entire fanbase or only knew ones on some crazy message-boards somewhere.
