re: Pollack ran his mouth to Saban at NC title game, gets fired 6 months later. Coincidence?

I can't help what another poster said and how he was wrong.

He had no contact with the team since the charges, wasn't even allowed to participate in Pro Day at Georgia's campus...but he was on the team.

That is probably why our second stringers and walk ons kicked your rear ends. Our players were ready and yours were not. That's a coaching problem.

Your players weren't ready when the starters were healthy. They got blown out.

So this logic can be applied to every team that plays each other twice if there are injuries correct? Or can it only be applied to Georgia and Bama in a vacuum?

I'll go with excuses. Or whining. And the fact is-- it's pathetic.

Saban must be ashamed of the number of Alabama fans that make excuses.

So, to get this straight....LSU should have been awarded the tile in 2011 since they won the first game? They already proved it in the first game and we all know what happens in the first game is always what happens in the second game.

You're not making sense. Bama lost the first LSU game on the last play despite having more yards/first downs, etc. while injuries weren't a significant factor. Bama won the first Georgia game decisively when injuries were comparable. Bama lost the second in the last minute despite having more yards with a number of starters missing. You can draw your own conclusions.

Exactly. And yet they keep on coming.

UGA easily cruised through the garbage east.

Saban would have won 3-4 in a row east if he had the privilege of playing in the sec east

UGA beat Bama’s arse, then they beat ours. UGA is the King of college football right now.

Yeah, that was back when Bama ruled college football.

We all conclude that you can't accept the fact that every now and then Alabama is going to straight up lose to a better team.

These games were unique to themselves. There aren't going to be two other games with the exact same dynamics. If you have other games with different teams/dynamics then they can be discussed individually also.

And “if” Bama didn’t have Jalen Hurts in the 2018 SEC championship game they likely loose when Tua goes down.

Lol. It’s auto correct. When did this board become the grammar police. Did you really just comment on this thread just to edit my grammar and nothing else? I’m not even paying you to be my editing bitch, but thanks

No. You are not making sense. the first game determines how the second game turns out. That's your reasoning, right? Williams would have done great things in the second game because he did in the first?

Come on, dude. You need to be consistent.

Let me see.

Texas would have won if Colt McCoy had not gotten hurt.
LSU gets the 2011 title because they won the first game in 2011, and that proves who the better team was.

At least attempt to be consistent. Or do the rules change only when Alabama is involved? Kind of like Alabama injuries and missing players affect the game but Georgia injuries and missing players do not matter?

I have drawn my own conclusions and did that based on your logic. Consistency means something.

Honestly, Pollack wasn't that good. There are worse but he was mostly below average. Likeable, not insightful.

No, my reasoning is that a team that won easily when both teams were basically even with injuries would have won the second game(that came down to the last minute) had the injury situation not be so skewed in Georgia's favor.

Certainly possible. Too bad we don't have a second game to give us a better idea.

You are struggling trying to compare something that isn't comparable. Bama outplayed LSU both times, one was a close loss and the other was a dominating win. The Bama/Georgia games - a dominating Bama win and a last minute Georgia win with Bama down many starters out injured. Bama actually out gained Georgia in both games

At least attempt to be consistent.

The above is consistent. You're inconsistent with comparisons that are inapt.

Im still struggling to grasp what your main point is.

Is it that the Bama team 2 years ago is superior to the Georgia team 2 years ago despite losing the championship?

Serious question. I legit don’t even understand what you’re defending.

Then he wouldn't be coaching Alabama anymore, because they're in the West.

Bama was super lucky he was not allowed to play anymore. He was our leading pass rusher, but we used our superior depth to overcome it.

This sums it up:

Every excuse counts for bama.
No excuse counts for any other team.
