Yup, it's all pretty dumb. The whole reason we went to a committee in the first place was to add that human element to put the best teams in, rather than going solely off records and statistics. Now they are bitching that they did just that instead of operating like a computer. Someone's always going to bitch, that's just how life is.

The problem is EXACTLY THAT - the human element.
Does a 13-0 conference winner get the nod over 2 12-1 conference winners?
Would your choice change depending on the teams/conferences involved?

Well, you know, Alabama should always get preferential treatment because we have earned it.
It's the same way that Georgia almost earned a spot in the playoff games by being back to back national champions but, it just wasn't quite enough because Georgia seemed to struggle during several games this season. They weren't very dominant, overall.
Georgia just doesn't have the accumulative historic recognition that Alabama does which enables them to always be the preferred candidate for advancement.
