Your team has had some struggles this year. Weak OL and trouble passing.
I mean I fully agree, but wouldnt you say that Bama has had problems passing against good defenses this year as well? Hurts' numbers were not good against either LSU or USC.
OSU's OL had problems against PSU and they were exposed in that game. SOME of those issues wouldn't happen in the playoff due to them not being as loud with a split crowd. Obviously Bama has monsters on the DL so they create a whole different problem. I hope OSU is hitting their stride like in 2014, but we will have to see them play Michigan first. Gotta beat Michigan State (in the rain) likely this weekend first so that could be a trip

Alabama is a lot better prepared to stop an offense like Ohio State, than it was in 2014.

Well this is just dumb. True freshman put in game at Jerry World against USC (USC leading 3-0), threw 2 TD passes and ran for 2. He really sucked huh?

I wasn't trying to trash you guys just what I've seen. Our OL is a strength of ours imo. Passing has def been an issue that has gotten somewhat better. I think OSU has enough elite talent to make any game complete.

Your 'good buddy' doesn't know Alabama fans.
Alabama is the only team that beat Alabama.
Alabama is the only team that beat Alabama.

Why do people ask Bama fans questions as if they know something about football? Most of them are bandwagon side walkers. They have no additional authority on the matter just because they root for a team that wins.

Bama is better, but it would be a fun game to watch if the good OSU shows up.

I really wish I could find quotes from Bama fans, and SEC fans in general, before the 2014 Playoff Game.
I think most felt we were a contender but I was one worried about that team. We were no where near the team we were last year or this year and if you can not see that you no little about CFB.
We lost to Ole Miss that year, barely beat Arkansas, beat LSU in OT, and MSU gave us a game. Not to mention we had to score 55 on AU and gave up 44. In my opinion we got some lucky bounces that year that got us in the playoff including IIRC Missouri in SECCG in the 1st qtr losing their best defender for a targeting call. That team was not a great team. So no matter what a UA fan may have said in 2014 that compares no where near this one or even last year.

I think we have the edge this year. I think in 2014 there were a lot more teams that could match us talent wise and were better but our coaching staff out coached theirs. Even last year against CU I will be quick to say across the board I thought CU had better talent. Yes we were better in some areas but overall I give the edge to CU but our coach won that game. This year there might be 3 teams in the playoffs that can come close to us. I believe CU can but their D is not what it was last year and their offense is not consistent at all even this late in the season. OSU offense can move the ball and I think they could score on us. But I think we can out score the buckeyes because of better talent overall across the board. Louisville plays good D and Jackson is that X factor, the type of player that always plays great against us like JFF, Cam, and even Watson last year. After those 3 teams I see a huge drop off.

Last year should have been an Ohio State Vs Alabama rematch in the national championships, because they were definitely the two best teams. That loss against MSU last year still baffles me to no end but the buckeyes got outplayed that night and it probably cost them a national championship. This year Alabama is just that good, and yes OSU has the best shot at beating them but no way I see that happening.
BTW Most Ohio State fans up here respect Alabama, we just don't understand how everyone else in the conference just jumps on their backs and celebrates their success like they accomplished something.
Seeing the likes of Michigan, MSU, or Penn State win a national championship just sickens most of us.
To each their own I guess

Ok buddy. What you want to happen and what actually happens are very different things.
Ohio State can beat Bama, but they won't obliterate them. If anything Bama would obliterate them.
Only team that actually "scares" me is Louisville and it's cause of their QB. I think they'd give us the most fits.

Bama fans are not authorities on football and have no additional insights on what it takes to win or who may win a football game.
Do NFL fans bounce their insights off Patriots fans to make sure they are on the right track?
