It makes sense now that they have Ole Piss and Oregon playing later in the day. No one will watch because the NFL owns TV.

Go Birds ??

Now imagine that Notre Dame was up in Oregon and Vandy was practicing to invade Oxford. You know, picking the best teams is a lot more fun to watch.

Yeah, pretty much. ABC/ESPN got two and TNT two. ESPN. chose the two games with he biggest brands (OU, Bama, and Miami), and that look to be the most competitive. They put the biggest one, OU vs Bama, in terms of brands, fans, and overall national interest on primetime Friday night. They put the next biggest in their other time slot. TNT got screwed with two duds with only one major brand, Oregon, the two G5's and a non major brand in Ole Miss. The NFL will wax both of these games in ratings, and it won't be particularly close.

Notre Dame vs. Oregon might steal some viewers, but Ole Miss vs. Vandy? Only rabid college football fans would watch that other the NFL.

Now think about what you just said. The guy who just finished 2nd in the Heisman and lambasted the winner is going into Oxford channeling his inner Johnny Football. Vandy would be a traveling 3-ring circus right now.

Hell, even with the current selection rules, if the ACC tie breaker rules had just had Miami in the ACC championship game, we'd likely have Miami and Notre Dame in. Still would have been stuck with Tulane, but they would be going to Oregon, while Notre Dame would have been heading to Oxford. One throway game is tolerable. It's having two that really sucks.

Well, opening this post was disappointing. No worries, though.

Edit: never mind. It’s pinned at the bottom of the rant. My fail.
