About time Bama gets penalized for their schedule not starting until the first week of November every year.
It shows weakness by Nick to not have confidence to schedule a legit team early in the season.
It also shows his arrogance, which you can’t blame him, that the rest of the media and the committee will fawn over BAMA based on past accomplishments and laurels.

The committee has stated it considers "body of work" up to that point in the season reevaluated each week. Only a good win against Auburn will help bama achieve that but would also need some chaos help in other conferences.

Shouldn't be a discussion bc we never needed a damn committee. Could have a just used the old BCS to rank teams and if your #5 well then tough luck. I'd rather have computer rank teams than a group of random humans in a room.

If the goal is "the four most deserving teams", cool. Do that every year. And if that's the criteria, then Bama wouldn't deserve a spot in the playoffs this season.
If the goal is "the four best teams in America", cool. Then that would likely be OSU, LSU, Clemson, and Bama.
Preseason had Clemson, Alabama, UGA, Ohio State. It's impossible for Alabama AND Georgia to both go 13-0.
And there's no way in hell a 12-1 SEC bumps out, say, 13-0 Oklahoma, even though you'd predict the SEC team to win.
