Exactly. So did SMU and Indiana. The Gumps didn't though

They didn’t lose to TCU and Memphis either. If you can’t watch SMU and Texas and tell Texas is 4 TDs better then your just a troll

That doesn't excuse them from losing to the only ranked team they played all year twice.

It's not the teams, it's the format.

Just because you extend the playoffs to 12 teams does not mean you are getting 12 playoff quality teams.

It was hard enough to get 4. 12 is literally impossible and the people already talking about adding more teams just want all this drama so they can get attention stirring the shite pot.

Same shite Nascar did trying to add in a bunch of drivers who didn't deserve to be in the championship hunt with their "playoffs". They expected the drama to make the sport more appealing to a wider audience and 20 years later the sport is all but dead. I don't even know what all kinds of gimmicks they do anymore but last I saw it's just crazy dumb.

College football doing the same shite. Taking the existing base of the sport for granted while trying to appeal to a larger audience. Pretending these other teams are actually deserving when they aren't is an insult to the general fanbase. Sure you'll get a bit of a pass this year with the Alabama being left out thing, but unless you can figure out a way to make it happen to Alabama every year, eventually people are going to get tired of the shite.

And even when Alabama makes it, the format is still going to be shite. The label "playoff team" just doesn't mean the same thing it use to. It's impossible to carry the quality out that far.

ESPN has become a cancer on the sport.

I guess we will see tonight on Texas. If you think SMU and Indiana are the same program as Texas who is only team to go to back to back playoffs than not sure I can help your bias

committee chair looks like he's also guilty of too many eggs on his plate -

needs to push his chair away from the pie-eatin table once in awhile -

Well a few hundred more posts crying about it should solve the mystery.

It’s because the committee does a terrible job whether it’s 4 teams or 12. They need to include everyone so teams that have no business being in the discussion are awarded bids.

Put purely the best 12 teams and you’d have better matchups. Committee is lazy and using polls that award wins vs nobodies when they should look at the teams that play quality schedules.
