Okay. You guys are pretty decent. I don't hate Alabama and I will give you credit for a great year. Bama had a great team and that was a hard fought game the other night.

Yes, I'm off of work this morning (don't go in till noon) and I'm pretty bored.

My motivation for this post was to turn the lame arguments that I heard from tons of Alabama fans (including the entire Alabama media machine) back on their own fans. If the arguments LSU last year (losing to Kentucky and Arkansas) were valid, then an argument against Alabama blowing a lead with 15 minutes to go and NOT winning a championship is valid as well. Bama fans repeatedly told us that we were too talented to ever lose. I'd say that winning a conference and national championship is hard work no matter who you are or how much talent you have. Ask USC. Ask yourself.

So, your kindness in response (some of you) causes me to say that I don't mean any of this personally. But, my arguments about how close you came and the prospects of getting that close in the future still hold water.

I'd also recommend that you learn to give some respect to other fanbases when they do well. The arrogance from Alabama fans that last few years when other schools have done well and the way that your fans have constantly diminished the accomplishments of others causes us all to wish you'd forever fall flat on your face.

So, you're happy because you did better than a bunch of rantards said you would? Sad. I actually predicted that Alabama would win on THIS board. Look it up.

The fact is, you proved that Florida was not so much better than you. You were winning going into the 4th quarter and you gave up 14 straight points and blew it. Was Alabama just happy to be there and didn't care about winning? I doubt it. I'll give your players credit. They played hard. But, the truth is, you likely will not get closer to a national championship than you got on Saturday night in Atlanta.

The Tide's high water mark has already been reached.

I own a "Dome, Sweet, Dome" LSU NC shirt. How about not lumping all fans togther. I have and will root for all SEC teams in the bowl games and when it doesn't effect Bama.

That being said I reserve the right to hate Auburn and UT whenever the hell I want.

I fully expect Bama fans to love their team and cheer for them. What was unexpected for me was the last two years of denigration toward LSU by a good number of Bama fans. That did not come from Auburn fans. Or from Georgia or Florida fans. It came from Alabama. There have been constant comments that LSU is only good because of Saban and Miles was only winning with Saban's players. So what? Was he supposed to lose with Saban's players? What were we supposed to do? Give Alabama credit for our National Title?

There were actually some Bama fans claiming credit for it. Of course, they are retarded, but still.

Seriously, the Bama fans who post here are of the sane, respectful lot for the most part. I have no real problem with you and I've actually pulled for Bama before Saban got there and I had to deal with the reaction. But, the last two years of disrespect toward LSU, when we clearly had one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the nation gains you nothing but disdain for your program and fanbase right now.

If you mean by flaming that I am intentionally writing a provocative post in order to stir things up a bit, yes. I'm flaming. If by flaming you mean that I'm saying stuff that isn't true, then you are wrong. Everything that I've said is true, including saying that Bama had a great team and that your players played very hard. This is not about them.

Did they choke? I think they did. We choked against Arkansas last year and things worked out for us. We were very lucky just like we were lucky in 2003. Bama was not lucky in that game. Auburn was not lucky in 2004, but they had a great team that would have played for national championship in every year since then.

My point is that we'd all be a lot better off if we gave respect as much as we expected it. Respect isn't earned by denigrating everyone else. Bama did well this year, but I used the same logic that I've heard from Bama fans for two years in saying what I said. If you don't like my comments, realize that you don't like your own fanbase. This is the way that they talk and I've learned it from them.

If you want constant praise for Alabama, there are a bunch of Bama boards out there that you can go to. If you want a debate, stick around and I'll give you one. Or, you could run away.

This is an opinion. It may end up being true, but basing a debate on this is just plain stupid. That's why I said I'm done.

As for the other points I don't neccessarily disagree with all of them. I just pretty much discounted the rest because of that asanine statment about this being the closest we'll ever be.

Not too mention that you basically just turned this into a whiney, bitch-fest that we were mean to LSU and LSU fans. Again the local redneck in Jasper with a dial up doesn't speak for me nor the rest of the fanbase.

The same argument could pose for us as well....I know you are talking about last year with LSU and winning the NC game, but this year not a lot of LSU fans give us credit either and we don't expect it. Either way, who cares. You just have to overlook the idiots on both sides. You are always going to have people put you down and we are not the only fans to put you down BTW. Every team gets talked about. It's not just Bama fans talking about LSU. That's football for you. Everyone has an opinion and very rarely does anyone agree. Just the way it goes.
