looking at the other threads is not one of your strengths.
As said before, this is nothing new.
Many people have even said Cecil was shoping MSU with fake offers from other schools to try and get them to pay up.
Are you saying that Cecil was lying about UT & Auburn putting an offer in on the bidding?
Either Cecil is a liar or not - Which is it?

exactly. he lied about an offer and then decided to go to one of the schools. that sounds right.
This is my issue with Auburn fans - Either Cecil is a liar or he's not.
He said he shopped Cam to MSU without Cam's knowledge. Is this the truth or not?
Now it's reported that Cecil was shopping Cam to MSU with offers from UT & Auburn. Is this the truth or not?

Yes, Non-auburn people have said cecil was saying there were offers out there that were not.
Every heard a used car salesman pitch?
Ya, I had a couple in yesterday that made an offer, you better snatch this up now or else.

Either Cecil is a liar or he's not.
Your question doesn't make sense. The fact that you think it is a "boom" like question is more telling.
We get it. You don't like Auburn, Cam or Cecil. That is fine, and there is plenty of reason for you to feel that way. But try not to let this fact interfere with reason and logic.

Do you believe anything Cecil Newton says?
The NCAA, Auburn and the SEC obviously believed him when he said he shopped Cam to MSU but no money exchanged hands and Cam had no knowledge.
So, if the infamous tapes show that Cecil mentioned other offers from UT & Auburn while shopping Cam to MSU, what will be AU's defense?
He's either a truthful man, i.e. Cam didn't know. Or he's a liar, i.e. UT and Auburn were in on the bidding.

FWIW I think its fake as hell, but I figured soemone would want to hear it and somehow missed the other thread that was up. I swear I looked.

The best way to describe this:
Cecil is to the truth as Nick Saban is to honoring his word

Your logic does not make sense. two different things to lie or not about.
What I am saying is some people(non-Auburn), In fact Bama & Miss St peeps, have said Cecil was telling Miss St, that there were offers by other schools, that were in fact not there. He was using this to try and get money from Miss St. When he was rejected by them his only other option was to enroll in Auburn.

WDE24 - I'm just wondering what the AU defense will be if on the tapes, Cecil throws out offers from UT & Auburn.
Either you choose to believe Cecil Newton like y'all did when he claimed Cam knew nothing.
Or you choose to believe Cecil Newton is a liar if it is shown that he said he got offers from UT & AU.
Either you believe him at his word or you don't.
Can't have it both ways.

There is no defense needed, they cant prove it . Unless someone from auburn is on the tapes, which they are not

These two things are unrelated

If you believe that Cecil told the truth that Cam didn't know about the bidding; then will you believe he is telling the truth about having offers from UT & Auburn while pimping Cam to MSU?
Either the man tells the truth or he doesn't tell the truth. If you think he would lie about the UT & AU offers, then he would lie about Cam's knowledge as well.

apparently you guys have never had to buy your own car or buy a house/apt. It is a fairly common practice to say you already have offers from different people in order to get the person to think they have to make a quick decision or they may lose out on the deal.

I bet you have, so I believe nothing you say. Just going by your logic

quote:So I can't believe that Cecil would lie to MSU boosters about other offers to make his demand to MSU seem like a deal? Thanks for letting me know the rules. So, if he lied about that to MSU boosters who he was trying to get money for, then it is a fact that he lied about Cam's knowledge?

I don't think anyone needs any tapes to understand that Cecil isn't of high character. I don't trust him now, what makes you think tapes of what has already been admitted is going to make me trust him less?
You don't understand how your logic fails solely for the sake of being self serving?
Everyone knows that it is possible, maybe even probable that Cam knew. however, it is also possible that he didn't know. Just proving Cecil is a liar is not sufficient to prove Cam's knowledge. If only it were that easy.

I see were you're going with this. Just wanted to test the waters, if it is shown that Cecil brought Auburn's name into the bidding with MSU.

I love the "I was lying then, but I'm not lying now" line
A friggin 1L in their first trial competition could rip that crap to shreds.
