Auburn will claim to be.
This will never stop being funny. The fact that AU fans are melting trying to claim other fans are coping or melting makes it twice as funny. This truly is hilarious

Why must 4 SEC teams get in when the SEC sh*t the bed in the first expanded playoff and all three 2 loss teams got embarrassed. Imagine if they had let a 3 loss SEC team in.
And the teams that went ahead of BAMA, Ole Miss in the rankings, how well did they do? This is about fairness and going by the Playoff Committee poll as it's being voted on each week. That didn't happen dude. Regardless of teams invited, BEST should matter.
Arizona State, 3 loss Clemson, and Bosie State were a figment of someone's imagination about conferense championships that automatically jumped higher ranked teams, regardless of their lower rankings. That was just wrong. Indiana and SMU were also hiding with an SOS that couldn't come close to BAMA and Ole Miss and they weren't conference champions, which was even more wrong. That's why.

If the committee is seriously taking into consideration the difficulty of the opponent, Missouri is nowhere in the conversation with their schedule, At least not a pre-season nod. If it's top 50, it's barely top 50.
Texas, Georgia, Alabama, LSU

If Bama and Ole Miss etc had one of the harder SEC schedules they would have got in over SMU. SC was an interesting case because all 3 of their losses were good losses. I think them tweaking that means most 3 loss SEC teams would edge out an SMU like team this season. I think for it to happen again it would need to be an ACC team with 2 losses but a victory over a strong SEC or ND team. Clemson, Miami and Syracuse I think get those matchups but those SEC teams and ND would have to end up real high themselves.
Only way a Big 12 non- champion gets considered is if they are undefeated going into the Big 12 CG.
