The one on BOL. I was assuming it was you but if you had to ask I am guessing maybe I was wrong. Guy with your exact name over there.

Wow, you guys are really bitter.....tough to understand considering how well things are going in the one area of your life that you care about: kids playing a game.....

I don't really care what Nick Saban is doing relative to QB's, aight? He is not known for having excellent QB's. They get the job done in his system, but I think Jamarcus Russell has sort of proven that he isn't the brightest guy in the room relative to choosing QB's.....

If he has recruited a QB every year he's been there (4 recruiting classes) it's because: 1. he misevaluated their talent (Star Jackson), 2. he was picking them to improve the recruiting rankings(star jackson), 3. he wasn't sold on what was there when he got the job(in which case, he was wrong), 4. or he is picking kids who can fit in other positions with their athleticism, which I think is the case with Jackson and with Sims......

Please explain why Less Miles has done it also, or does the above apply again? What about CUM? He has signed one, if not every year, all but one. What do these coaches have in common again? You have Eugene Chizik, STFU!

Is it possible that Coach Saban has learned from his past mistakes? I keep hearing about mistakes he made in the past and that he generally isn't good at this and that. However, he also never had back to back undefeated seasons before he got here. He's accomplished alot of things that he didn't before so I'd say he either learned from his mistakes or it is easy to win at Bama. Take your pick which one.

As to evaluating QBs, he will probably continue to recruit QBs to develop more competition. It's always good to have more than 1 or 2 capable QBs on the roster.

Well, first of all, as has been established previously on this board, I'm not sure Les Miles is the example we all want to follow relative to decision making......Meyer would be taking one each year because of the system he uses that is a little tougher on a QB's health. For example, if I were Air Force, GA Tech, FL, I might take a QB each year....

If I were Alabama, I probably wouldn't have this year.....They have some good ones coming back, but I think this is just insurance and then they'll have to recruit another one next year in a deeper QB class because Sims isn't going to be the answer.

Not sure what the Chizik comment is supposed to mean or where it fits in this, but we are very happy with Chizik. He won one more game than i thought he would this year and he knows how to build a great staff and recruit......things are looking up for us.

We always hire a guy that leaves people scratching their heads, and then the guy works out fine. Only 6 head coaches since 1950....you don't do that without having your crap together on coaching hires......

Look another talent evaluator. Jesus, do you honestly believe what you're typing. You have ABSOLUTELY no clue on how P. Sims will turn out.

Well then what about Pete Carrol? He picks up a qb pretty much every year. Is he an idiot for recruiting Scroggins even though Barkley is only a freshman this year? Obviously you are a smarter football coach than Pete Carrol and Nick Saban.

As for Auburn don't they already have something like 6 qbs on the roster and they are still recruiting a juco qb. What does that say about Chiziks confidence in your qbs? If I were an auburn fan I would be worried about that.

It says that Rollison may not get his crap together.....we wouldn't be targeting a QB in this class had Rollison not gotten himself into the doghouse. I know that for a fact....

As for Pete Carroll, he is a good recruiter, but he can't even run the table in the Pac 10 with all of that talent.....maybe the New England Patriots were right about him.

actually the general practice is to recruit OL and qb every year. Thsi is what got LSu into trouble with the new qb starting and kicking one off

Well I will give you a good comparison

Rex Grossman did well in FL offense even though he was 6ft tall. However when Fl got some massive Oline he started to struggle because tiny couldn't see

Sims is 6'1 in cleats. Bama already has 6'7 Fluker and several other giants

That is why he is too short

A lot of times you end up with more QB's when you go through a coaching change due to the new staff not liking who you have on board.....again, we would not be after Cam Newton if Rollison had not gotten himself in trouble....
