I guess they didn't rank Wyoming because they don't have any quality wins, similar to Arkansas.

Looking at their schedule, they've only beaten 3 cupcakes so far. Mizzou, Idaho, and Texas State.

LSU finished number 18 in a season that they lost at home to Troy. It IS possible to overcome a bad loss

Troy won their conference and ended up 11-2. While we ha dno business losing to them, that was a pretty good team.

The best season Wyoming has had in the past couple decades is 8-6. Their 2 other games this year, they beat Idaho, an FCS team, by 5 points. They also beat Texas State, an absolutely shittastic FBS team, 23-14.

I dont why anyone would even rank Missouri right now, it literally makes no sense. Wyoming looks like a bad team so far.

Why did you think this?

And do you think this particular ranking somehow definitively establishes whether they are or are not overrated?

kstate blows too.

They blew out an FCS team and Bowling Green which is a lot more than what Wyoming can say thus far.

After looking it up, because its troy, lets not forget before this big bad troy went on to having a great year, they too struggled against a new mexico state(3 points) and akron (5 points) early in the season.

True but we don't really have enough to know about Kstate yet. They have taken care of business so far. To say they blow is ignorant at this point.

Why would your school ever agree to that in the first place? It wasn't a scheduling conflict. right?

And LSU wasn't ranked for a bit after losing to Troy. In fact, it took beating Auburn and winning @ UF to even crack the Top 25 again. Still, Troy ended up being a good team. The chances Wyoming ends up being any good? Highly unlikely considering their past and recent games. Troy generally speaking has pretty good seasons, at least. Wyoming a lot of times is a MWC doormat or mid-pack team.

Going back to what's relevant, KSU is on a different stratosphere over Wyoming. That was a dumb comment.

This so reminds me of Arkansas losing to Toledo. They were a very solid team and Campbell left after that season. No business losing that game but Bert managed to win 5 sec games that year after the embarrassing loss. Of course, no one gave a shite about the context and piled on us. Not that I blame them for that.

time will tell, but I stand by what I said that playing at home against kstate team(which is still bad) and playing at the highest elevated field on the first game of the season - is harder. Whoever scheduled that should be fired.

Jesus...

ITS NOT A RANKING BASED ON RESULT OR ACCOMPLISHMENT

We aren’t ranked in the AP or Coaches. It’s trying to grange the “best teams” and again, even good teams lose games. Sometimes they have bad losses.

I only brought up Troy to simply point out a bad loss doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t go on to have a respectable season, and of course you don’t know where Wyoming will finish.

Glad to see you feel that way. I remember a few Mizzou fans defending that game earlier in the year when I asked about it. Mizzou is better than that imo, obviously scheduling issues can come up but no reason that should be a place you travel to willingly.

Pinkel scheduled that game when Christiansen was the HC as a favor to him.

I’m not blaming that game on elevation. We just played like shite. We don’t have the kind of margin for error that we can lose the TO battle 3-0, have the ball 1st and goal from the 1 twice and end those drives in turnovers, and give up two 70 yard runs because our safeties were completely out of position on those plays. If we were a better team maybe we could do all that and squeak by with a win. Hell, if KB throws the ball to the correct player on the last play we would have.

We simply shite the bed. We have the talent to go on and have a nice season, but if we play anywhere near like we did in that game then we won’t. If we play up to our potential or close, then we will.

I also agree we played like shite. But watch the replay, and I want to say it was in the last minute or 2 of the 3rd Q. My buddy pointed this out to me, but you can see half the offense in a circle, almost in a vomiting position(cant tell if they do), while 1 other is literately laying down. They were acting in a way that players dont normally do when just "tired".

I also blame Odoms "limited tackling in practice" to prevent injury philosophy, because that really showed more than anyting imo.
