You're complaining about prior facilities renovations and add ons however what about that massive relatively new football training facility? Is that not good enough? You also recently built a state of the art baseball stadium. I've been there. It's nice as shite.
I don't know anything about stadium kitchens, your NIL budget or Disney Gators but it appears you're exaggerating a bit when it comes to describing your facilities as "Soviet style"

They want to get paid and our nil programs suck (according to our vocal boosters like Hal Lewis it’s because the fans don’t support the collectives enough…)
It wasn’t too little but it was way too late

Athletes want great facilities and huge NILs.

Not sure what UF does but I doubt Georgia or any of the other SEC teams ever see the cooking areas in our stadiums.
Do these half billion dollar kitchens double as dining halls, snack bars, cooking class classrooms, etc. for your athletes? If not I don’t see how this is going to improve UFs recruiting or the on field product.
Someone had a really dumb idea and $500,000 that could have been used on upgrading facilities that athletes actually use was totally wasted.

It’s all about profiting the uaa and fricking over the fans while disregarding the recruits/players completely
You are right it is an absolutely idiotic idea but the Disney gators ignore it and blame the fans for not contributing to the sketchy Collectives for all our problems

UF boosters should demand a new UAA board.
Since all they seem to care about is money maybe cutting them off would give them a wake up call. I bet they would change pretty damn fast if the donations stopped rolling in until changes were made. And all that money they are getting from the $25 pizzas should go directly to the improvement of facilities or scholarships, not in the UAAs pocket

A lot of the big boosters are a big part of the problem they like the uaa and they like Billy Napier type coaches who kiss their asses and eat dinner with them at Embers instead of fiery coaches like lane kiffin who would cal out the UAA and not suck off the boosters like billy boy does
That’s why even with 4 wins this year Napier will be back in 2025. The UAA and boosters love him.

That’s not good. I would think if things don’t improve in the next few years the pressure from unhappy Gators would force a change.
It took UGA 7 long years but finally the pressure got too much and forced the firing of Ray Goff.
In todays athletic climate it shouldn’t take nearly that long for Florida.

nstead of loading up on NIL war chest they’re blowing $500 million on a fricking STADIUN KITCHEN!
$500 million for a kitchen to serve +/-100,000 fans at 7 home games a year?
Grilled hot dogs, concession stand nacho with liquid cheese, popcorn, random candy and bagged peanuts are all that's needed.

They are going to have new food soon until now it’s been basic stuff. The new stadium kitchen stuff will be in future seasons.
But this is what the concessions at the baseball stadium look like

19 bucks for a basic cheeseburger. Holy frick.

And note that’s the concessions for our fricking BASEBALL games
Imagine what devious menu the uaa is cooking up for football?

The thought of a 19 dollar hamburger at a college baseball game is mind blowing.
Posted on 4/5/24 at 3:37 pm to GoldenDawg
I mean, with my family of five, that’s 100 bucks for one burger each. And I’m guessing they’ll need something to wash down the swamp fries with. Do they also sell 5 dollar wads of toilet paper to use in the ten dollar pay toilets?
Frick that.
Frick that.

The fact that the UF AD thinks concessions at those prices will fly off the shelf is comical.
Vendors are less hassle and offer variety. Papa John's slice, Auntie Anne's pretzel, Frozen lemonade, Pizza Hut personal pizza, Conecuh Sausage dogs, Dreamland BBQ nachos, etc. scattered around the corridors. Then standard concessions for hotdogs/peanuts/candy/water and soft drinks.

Not to mention that the food absolutely sucks!

It’s expensive and not good at all like cafeteria food!!!
