So you know everything your dad does now?
I was never a D1 recruit. Had I been, I would have known if my father was shopping me. Apparently the whole damn AD at MSU was aware of Cecil's solicitation but you think Cam wasn't? You don't think at one point Mullen, or another recruiter said, "Cam, we really want you, but we're not paying for it"?

I don't care if they "vacate" wins. What does that mean anyway?
That means no national championship.

You have never thought about doing something you knew was wrong and then thought better of it? Not to mention the fact that AU >>>> MSU so it makes perfect sense to consider getting something more than a scholarship out of the deal.
That's cool and all, but you're forgetting one thing. Cam has stated multiple times that he wanted to go to MSU.

I don't think anyone has a problem with him winning ST POY. Def POY is a joke though. If they didn't want to give to Fairley because they are petty they should have at least given it to Justin Houston.
You mad?
Geez. Auburn fans are pathetic. You lie, cheat, and steal your way to a championship and then have the gall to gripe if your players don't get every single award.
Look, you're incredibly fortunate that you're getting your trip to Glendale. You played with an ineligible player all year and the NCAA decided to look the other way, to the shock of the entire college football world. I'd probably quit complaining about Patrick Peterson getting an award if I were you and enjoy your temporary status.

Alot of "butthurt" in this thread imo.

Why apologize for this? It is spot on, IMHO.

Being a D1 recruit makes you clairvoyant?

No, they recruited him up until he signed with AU.

Again, they can say whatever they want. If we beat Oregon we are the best, it was proven on the field and that's all I care about.

He wanted to play for Dan Mullen. However, a better opportunity came along and he was wise to take it.

Not at all, I think it's funny (i.e. a joke). Like I said I hope all our players get snubbed for every award all month. Everyone knows Cam and Fairley are the best offensive and defensive player in the country so whether or not they get an award is irrelevant. The bigger the chip on their shoulder the more they dominate.

Nah, but I do have eyes and ears.

No, they recruited him up until he signed with AU.
And then promptly turned him in to the NCAA after Cam signed with AU.

Cecil or Cam? Cecil chose Auburn, not Cam. Would you call $200k a "better opportunity"?

Peterson definitely didn't have a banner year covering.
Is this some sort of joke? He shut down his side of the field almost every game. The only game I can even recall him somewhat struggling is against Julio who was 1st team All-SEC himself and didnt exactly have a big game against Peterson, McElroy just made some great throws for a change with Peterson in tight coverage.
Peterson is one of the best corners to ever play in the SEC and CFB. It's amazing he even had 4 INT this year because he probably got thrown his way 20-25 times all year.

Funny how that works.

No but working with Gus Malzahn and playing on a much better football team and being able to showcase your talents into a national trophy and first round NFL draft pick I'd call a "better opportunity". He stands to make millions from his decision.

Peterson definitely didn't have a banner year covering. He wasn't even the best defender on his team. Nevis and especially Sheppard had better season. His performance on the field did not match his athleticism.
He is a better Athlete than cover corner right now. He needs some coaching up.
The award should have went to Fairley or Houston from UGA
Congratulations on the EPIC FAIL of the day!!!

Lulz. Dude got burnt more times than toast.
If you call what little yardage Jones got this season against Peterson getting burnt you need to turn in you credibility card. It has been revoked.

PP7 will be missed. Definitely a great player or LSU.

Honestly, I couldn't care less if Cam knew or not that his dad was talking to Kenny Rogers about getting money.
Finally. It's refreshing to see an Auburn fan admit that they gon't give a crap about whether their players are dirty, rule-breaking cheaters. We've all expected that was the case, but it is nice to see the Auburn Family admit it.

Peterson is more important to our defense than Fairley is to Auburn.. For all the People saying he got burnt obviously does not understand football.. The only matchup you can even say Peterson lost this season was to julio jones but with very minimal yardage
