Peterson definitely didn't have a banner year covering. He wasn't even the best defender on his team. Nevis and especially Sheppard had better season. His performance on the field did not match his athleticism.

He is a better Athlete than cover corner right now. He needs some coaching up.

The award should have went to Fairley or Houston from UGA

I'm sure you knew about everything your dad did while you were growing up. Honestly, I couldn't care less if Cam knew or not that his dad was talking to Kenny Rogers about getting money. The only thing that will suck is if it's proven that they solicited AU as well and AU was complicit.

I'm sure that's exactly what happened.

So I guess this means it's safe to say that SEC Offense > SEC Defense this year.

Fairley plays dirty, and has a bad attitude. Peterson takes one side of the field away every game, shuts down opponents #1 WR every week. Also is a good role model, and great attitude as well. Good job PP, well deserved recognition! Geaux Tigers!!!

"Growing up"? He's an adult with a criminal record. Playing dumb doesn't cut it.

So you'd be cool with vacating the 2010 season?

In due time. If Cecil is an "evil" father that was "pimping" out his son w/o his son's knowledge, like all u barn fans say, then you can bet your arse he asked for money from AU.

You guys are comparing apples to oranges. Fairley had a great season, playing in a position that put him in the spotlight virtually every play. Peterson was so good at taking away one side of the field he made a 2nd team All-Sec teammate out of Claiborne. So many throws were forced to that side, Mo made 5 picks and showcased his own talents. That's what the coaches, and anyone else with an eye for the whole spectrum of defense, saw game in and out with Peterson.

We also saw several teams throw right at Peterson. Over and over.

I think you're looking to much into stats. That doesn't work with corners.

When you cover the best WR on ever team you play, don't you think they will try to get the ball to them? How did that work out for the entire season of throwing at PP7?

Defensive tackle is not typically a glamour position. Fairley put himself in the spotlight by dominating games like few DTs ever do.

I don't care if they "vacate" wins. What does that mean anyway? I was still at those game and watch my team win them, how are they going to take that away or deny that.

While certainly possible, it's just as likely not to have happened. You have never thought about doing something you knew was wrong and then thought better of it? Not to mention the fact that AU >>>> MSU so it makes perfect sense to consider getting something more than a scholarship out of the deal. If you think about it makes the "rented mule" comment make perfect sense.

Single coverage is the correct read for the quarterback when Peterson allows everyone else to be doubled.

Especially when the wide receiver of whom you speak is also a first round draft pick.

PP7 -stats

Tackles-36
TFL-1.5
Ints. 4-134yds.
Broken up-6
Kicks Blocked-1
All Purpose yards-116.9 per game

PP7 can go to most any team in the NFL and return KO's and Punts from day one. 6'1" 222#'s.

I don't think anyone has a problem with him winning ST POY. Def POY is a joke though. If they didn't want to give to Fairley because they are petty they should have at least given it to Justin Houston.
