Yep. Fairley was a nobody before the season started and decided to make a name for himself by being the dirtiest player in the SEC. Mission accomplished. Job well done.

Actually, IMO, he made a name for himself with plays like the one against your team right before the half. The forced fumble and recovery after he barreled through your offensive line. Nothing dirty about it.

Says the guy with Mark Barron on his team. Now there is a crispy critter for ya. He really sucks.

Was Barron named SEC DPOY? I must have missed that. Then again, he never did a Heisman pose did he? And he never quit with torn muscles. Unlike others with "cramps".

You're comparing a true freshman's cb skills to a junior's? Yeah Milliner is doing just fine.

Can't really argue with it, Peterson is a game changing player.

Including defenseless qbs. Let's see how that works out for him in the NFL. His agent may want to get extra for the fines.

fairley was the best defensive player in the conference this season, but i understand why the coaches didn't vote for him since they were complaining about him all year. if they were set on not voting fairley, then Pat was a good choice.

I literally have no problems with Peterson getting selected over Fairley for this award.

Luckily for him this isn't the NFL. It's still football. When he gets to the NFL where it's not about the game but about protecting their most marketable players maybe he'll change his style. Although I hope not, I hope he keeps playing the game the way it was meant to be played.

Personally I feel that Fairley has the potential to do very well in the NFL.

I saw today where Mel Kiper has Fairley ranked to go #6 in the draft (if he leaves early). I'd say that shows that he is doing a little more than just being dirty.

Also, last I checked, #6 in the draft pays pretty well. Fairley probably did a Cost-Benefit Analysis and saw that playing hard and cracking a few skulls was worth the payoff. WDE, Fairley!!
