At least TAMU got the SEC into TX. The other 3 additions have brought jack and shite.

Mizzou is a great school with even better peeps

Well since I have no clue when lsu
might play mizzou, it doesn't even feel like they're in the league.

aTm and mizzou are both good schools, but the whole expansion was done half-aased with no clear goals and plans. It's messed up an incredible setup, and that's why I hate it.

LSU hasn't played vandy since 2009 and they aren't on the schedule for 14. We now have 2 conferences with a cross conference scheduling arangement instead of having 1 conference.

I can understand that. There were schools in the B12 North we rarely saw either.

Hate to say it, but it's only going to get worse. Gone are the days of mini leagues; here to stay are the days of ever-growing mega-conferences.

I mean what were you SEC Big 6 oracles thinking? Arkansas joined the SEC in 1992 and and it took them 19 years to win 11 games in the conference. We did it in one.

When the pig dicksuckers joined there were only 11 games played a year ... same goes goes for the psychotic fighting red jungle fowls.

You do understand the difference do you not *aggie?

Pete Thamel has something in common with you *aggies. Y'all both like it dry up in the ponderosa while doing bath salts.

Yeah I really don't mind Mizzou as long a they step it up in Basketball and keep their academics up they're fine. I won't a strong SEC that will increases Auburns NCAA tourney seeding once Bruce Pearl is our HC

We expected it when we joined the conference that was still fighting the civil war, they have a hell of a memory and a desire for times past.

Bring back power houses Suwanee, Georgia Tech and Tulane.

Kick out those weaklings A&M, Missouri, Arkansas and USCe.

That will certainly bring back the greatness of the SEC. I can see it now...Alabama and the 8 dwarfs. (and Dopey, we all know who you are. Here eat some more turf.)

Commissioner F'baum do your duty.

To some extent this is true. It changed our identity and A&M is currently fulfilling every SEC-hater's dream by giving them fodder at every turn.

Mizzou, OTOH, is slowly but surely acclimating. Most of them seem to get the SEC attitude that you don't as a program make an arse of yourself in public/on a national stage -- even if you're violating NCAA rules making an arse of yourself is often (though not always) the worst offense, especially when you do so continuously. This despite us all, myself included, thinking A&M would make a better fit has proven it just ain't true - they're Texans not southerners and they're showing it.

A&M needs to get with the program. Because despite their first year 'glory' Mizzou looks like a better addition with every turn of the A&M screw.

I'm slowly coming to concede the fact that while Mizzou only have parts of the state that are southern in nature, the southern influence that provides as well as the influence they had in their past has shaped their cultural identity on this front.(Now please Mizzou don't start acting like A&M if you happen to win a few games).

ETA: Of course, fans can be as assholish as they want to be online. This is about how a program ought to behave.

Congrats on completely missing the point.

You people just don't get it, and that's the problem.

Kick out any two of Vandy, UK or MSU. TAMU and Mizzou are way more legit than those teams.

The point still stands. TAMU and Mizzou would not be the first to go if the SEC downsized. TAMU would be one of the least likely candidates. Mizzou is better than a few other SEC programs.
