Not sure why this is such a big deal to you, other than a need to be a contrarian.

He takes another job...he leaves.
He quits coaching....he leaves.

I think the more accurate way to describe it is that he was not retained on the defensive staff. It was known that Matt House was very experienced at coaching linebackers. And as others have mentioned, he was one of the last that was released from his responsibilities when the new staff was put in place. It appears they were trying to find a way to keep him in some capacity but were unable to.
