we need a real playoff. 16 if not 32 teams.
The greatest game played is CFB. Football is king, the programs have been around a century plus and they won't be moving overnight, kneeling for the flag or all of the other BS the pro league provides.
So the greatest game is decided by a committee? Sham.
A month ago Auburn is on the rocks.. fast forward and they are a team nobody wants to face. There are 10 teams min with a legit shot to get hot and win it all.
Early NFL departures, freshmen/sophs playing earlier, injuries, regional scheduling.. all factors in teams being either under the radar or vastly different towards the last month of the season.
NFL, MLB, NCAA hoops etc.. how often does the top seeded teams going into the playoffs actually win it all?
At least get us to eight.. conference champs and three at large bids. God forbid 11, bye week for conference champs and six at large bids to have it at 8 teams in second round.
Bama, Auburn and Georgia could all win the NC this year.. one or two won't get that oppty. Shame.

I still think 5 teams at most with 4v5 for a play in.
Most years, including this year there are Brely 6 teams that are so far ahead of anyone else.

Alabama and Georgia both had their chance.

I see:
BAMA
UGA
Auburn
Clemson
Miami
OU
TCU
tOSU
Wisconson
there are 2-3 others with an argument as well. Fine line this year.

At best, at BEST... 8 teams. 5 P5 Conf champs, top 10 non-P5 team, 2 at-large.
AT BEST.
16, 32... 32? Really? You can think of a team that's not even RANKED that should be in the playoffs? That's just a game for the higher seeds to see players get injured. 32 teams would tack on 4 games plus the title game, so you're talking an 18 game season for any conference title game team.
Are we just going to abandon any concept that these kids are students as well at this juncture?

So, would those 5 be the Power 5 conf. winners?

Georgia is still in it.
