hol up, are you telling me you think some teams out there don't try to win their conference because they know they won't make the playoffs?

Works just fine for the NFL...

The NFL is a business corporation, not college athletics. The NFL also has 32 teams that for the MOST part are relatively evenly matched, with every team having the best and most talented players in teh world. It's a lot easier to say an NFL team that went 11-5 deserves the playoffs compared to a college team that went 9-3.

The playoff has ruined college football

it's massively helped CFB, you no longer have 2 teams that have a shot when often times there are more than 2 that have an adequate case to be there.

Recruit better then? Play better? You're shitting on the playoffs because we just so happen to have the greatest dynasty CFB has ever seen chugging at the moment. When saban leaves everyone will love the playoffs.

so what's your solution?

They won their Conference and did something UGA UF LSU Penn St among others did not do

Sorry you don’t play this game well.

So what was the excuse you used for Texas (another non conference winner) beating UGA? I guess you can say at least Texas beat a conference winner which UGA couldn’t do either.

“Conference champs only” model would be the end of high profile OOC games.

What about an NFL team with 7 wins?

I don’t really know what system I like. But I do know it’s pointless to have conference championship games if they mean nothing. If someone has to be crowned a conference champ the give it to the team with the best record like the NFL does. Don’t waste the players energy and risk their well being on a game that’s pointless. Let them rest for the playoffs.

There are out of conference games. To be fair that's a small sample size but it's there.
