Yes. Apparently the Kentucky job is as good as Florida now.

The no State and the high taxation in Cali make any UF offer value much higher. Cost of living in Gainesville compared to Cali is laughably low. 4.5 Mill at UF is equal to around 10 mill a year in Cali.
My Mom moved to Cali years ago. Pays more for their two bed apartment which is nice, but not great. Than the mortgage for here 400k house in Florida.
So money can be accounted in as an advantage. UCLA is the job that I would worry Chip goes to over Florida, but he has no titles. Florida is easily the place his offensive style zone read would work wonders(see Frost with lesser players).

If apprentice smart beats Master Saban in SECCG, That is evidence that Apprentice frost at an sec west school would beat master kelly at Florida in a future SECCG.
Florida should wait until after seccg to decide on kelly or frost.

The Kelly thing came after Nebraska claimed they will go after Frost. Immediately after, Florida vetted Kelly. I would assume we thought the chances are too high he goes to Nebraska. If you wait on Chip for him, and he bails, you may end up with neither. Smarter to take the teacher that's available than his best student. Just in case.

I was half joking when I said it was a wash.
Was mostly just indicating how much Gainesville sucks... Gators love it because you went to school there, but otherwise it's kind of a shite bucket. On the financial side... 10M might be a bit excessive a comparison, but would easily give it a 3:2 ratio at a minimum... probably a bit higher, though most COL calcs say 45-50% increase... (ie. 4M at UF > 6M at UCLA).

Either way. I'l ltake the slams if it somehow isn't done Friday despite that being the expected timeline. As long as we have one of the five best CFB coaches in the country, I'm cool with being roasted. Yes Chip is that level btw.
Saban / Meyer / Dabo / Peterson / (Kelly or Fisher). Fisher has a title but had substantially better recruits to get it. Kelly would dominate with Fishers talent.
