Honestly the B1G made the better move from a money standpoint

Not going to argue that point.

There is a LOT more money to be gained from adding CA - the entire state's loyalty

You think most of California are USCw fans? Not even close.

The B1G schools are going to make more in the next round of TV negotiations. They have the entire NE locked up, including NY, the state of CA,

All pro sports meccas, you think that with the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL all going on during the college football season in those areas, that anybody in those regions are going to give a rip about college football?

quote:

I still expect them to make a play for Miami or FSU to add Florida to their "resume"

They will fail at that while being laughed at.

The Big Ten will make a lot of money, maybe the most. However it really means nothing because they will not be able to use it for athletes. The South will run circles around the "wealthy" Big Ten teams.

Boosters and fans want winners, as do advertisers and streamers, the Big Ten does not provide that. So all they will have is time to count their money, because they will not be counting National Titles.

Bottom line, the Big Ten could annex Fort Knox and it still does not change their position in sports.

Finally someone else with a business sense on here. You see the big picture. those huge markets will pay dividends on and off the field. The schools will get richer and the best athletes will want to play in those markets because that is where the money is.

Bucktooth has 19 commits and is rated #1 in recruiting. Bama has 15 commits and is rated #5 in recruiting with 3 5 stars.

Success on the field leads to success in recruiting. Nothin but a winner.

Tell us how Big 10 money talks. Do you want to bet on the outcoming of recruiting? Looks like a rerun of years past.

I said I was strictly talking money. B1G has a long way to go on the field to compete with SEC elite

And yet they aren’t paying big dividends today.
