Yurachek fricked up. Plain and simple.
This is just speculation on my part, but I think Yurachek is intimidated and almost scared of dealing with Sexton. He caved and pretty much immediately gave him what he wanted with Pittman, even though it was a horrible deal for the school and Pittman wasn't going anywhere.

Right. It seems that way. When the guy has made it clear this is his last stop before retirement and has bought his house on the lake and keeps telling folks that if they fire him, oh well he's ready to go fishing anyways, you don't have to give him the frickin farm just because he hired a new agent.

Jerry Jones was involved in the Morris hire, yes. We didn't have an AD at the time (an interim was in place) and Jones had probably the most sway. He fricked us.
Pittman had nothing to do with Jones though. That was all Yurachek
