caught just a few minutes of it. really sad but true and if you listened, you know you laughed!

i usually can't stand Pat Dye... as he usually is just the king of spin and tries to dodge most of Finebaums qustions

But he must have been extra drunk today. The things he said about Weis had me spitting out coffee at my desk at work... he was destroying him and it was pretty damn hilarious

Its worth a listen if you missed it this afternoon

His comments about Weiss are dead on. The guy is living off his time with Tom Brady. Dye made a great point about him having two "can't miss" QBs at Notre Dame and not doing much with either Quinn or Clausen.

As an offensive coordinator, why are you on the sidelines if you are just going to sit down? Take your fat arse to the press box.

He did and it almost killed him. He was in a coma for 2 weeks. Do some research before you post.

Yeah I cant disagree with anything he said...

I was just REALLY surprised to hear Pat Dye of all people come out and say it. I've been listening to him for years and he never says ANYTHING about ANYTHING... just coach speak and spin and question dodging, along with a lot of coughing

But he wasn't like that today, maybe he was extra drunk. He ripped Weis a new one on all of his "success" and then even had some pretty damn funny fat jokes to finish it off. It was A+ stuff and I'd never expect to hear it from Pat Dye

I hope this version of Pat Dye comes back next week, b/c as someone already said... that was a Finebaum "Instant Classic"

based on the inteview, you would have thought Weis ate Pat Dye's kids. Dye even questioned Weis' credit for developing Tom Brady. It was an instant classic on Finebaum. He had to be drinking today.

Wonder what set him off. Do they even know each other? Did he sound drunk?

He was just talking about how he didn't think Muschamp & Weis was a good marriage, and he thought it was forced from the beginning and would never work out

Finebaum made a comment about some of the plays Weis called, then Dye just went off

Its worth listening to, the link is posted above and its not all that long

BecauseCoach Muschamp wanted the entire staff on the field this season for the chance to coach up the players mid-game. Next season he may very well be in the box.

even said that Weis was a forced hire. He ripped Muschamp too a little and even said he might not be a good fit at Florida to a paraphrase Dye.

Some OC hate being in the press box, you can't directly communicate with the players...

yeah he said a little of muschamps emotional type outbursts can be a good thing at the right time, but you have to be able to get over and get back to coaching your team... and you cant be that emotional for the entire game and keep up with all the things a Head Coach needs to keep up with

I love how he starts off answering the question about Weis' play calling with... "well I dont want to really get into all that"... then he proceeds to dive in deeper than anyone ever expected and rips on Weis for a solid 5 minutes straight

It sounded like it was gonna be a typical Pat Dye avoid anything controversial question dodge... then he does a 180 and rips Weis to shreds

I didn't see that coming... and I have to say, it was fantastic

Saban is probably the best in college football when it comes to rip refs or players a new one. Outside of his bursts he is pretty cool on the sidelines.
