If you've never had Persian food, give Pomegranate on Main a try. Really, get the Sultani (one koobideh kabob and one beef kabob) with saffron rice and a grilled tomato.
As much as it pains me to say, Greenville does put Columbia to shame.

I started up a manual sort Fed Ex hub in Greenville way, way back in the day. It was a really nice joint back then. Had a massive park with sidewalks that I would jog, with a bunch of historical fighter jet airframes on display throughout.
Like everything, I'm sure its changed quite a bit. But was a really cool place that I enjoyed working in.
