I can’t wait for an opportunity for either Oklahoma while in the SEC or any SEC team to absolutely thrash the living crap out of USC.

You probably need to concentrate on winning 8 games in the west first bud.

Coaches leave. It's a better situation and much better pay. You might need to move on. He owes OU nothing and took the time to break the news in person to his team; that is about as much as one can ask.

Lincoln Riley USC contract details (not confirmed; best I could do):
- $110 million
- USC buying both his homes in Norman for $500,000 over asking ($1 million bonus)
- Buying a $6 million home in LA for him
- Unlimited use of the private jet 24/7 for family

If that’s legit, then your cheap asses were never going to keep him, it’s a business

Why invest in someone who hasn’t delivered with all that has been gifted to him? It’s kind of like paying Jimbo a lot of money while achieving second and third place division finishes.

So you admit you’re unwilling to pay, you know what 6 million a year gets you these days? Shane Beamer type hires, but carry on about penny pinching

You're not wrong. Lincoln just didn't have what it took to coach in the SEC and he knew it.

Y'all will end up better for it.

On the surface, maybe, but the hints have been there all along. Riley never wanted OU to go to the SEC and he wanted nothing to do with playing an SEC slate.

Whatever other incentives he might have been given, he got scared, plain and simple.
