It seems you are the one with selective memory.

1999: 40-39
1999: (Atlanta) 34-7
2005: 31-3 (vacated but still in the L column for Florida)
2006: 13-28
2008: (Atlanta) 20-31
2009: (Atlanta) 32-13
2010: 31-6
2011: 38-10

Mr. Tide, the beginning year mentioned was 1998. Since it started that year, that means it's 5-3 (3-2).

A vacated game means nobody can claim it as a win or a loss, like the Arky/tOSU game. Or like the 1984 SEC champs was stripped of the title and was "vacated".

How can you be 3-6 in the last 8 games? 2005 happened for you whether you like it or not. It may not show up as a win for us but the game did take place. So...Alabama is 5-2 in the last 8 games....we just can't count one of those games as a win.

It's still a loss for us.
And we still have the 84 trophy, the SEC office can come and take it.

The game was vacated, so it isn't counted.
It's a vacated win for y'all and a vacated loss for us-which doesn't mean much if anything at all.

You're forgetting 98, that's when the BCS started. UF beat Bama on the road.

It still counts as a loss for you.

I know this. But you're 3-5 in the last 8 games, not 3-6.

'05 happened on the field. And we're 6-2 in the last 8 games on the field. We can argue NCAA semantics all we want to but I personally don't give a shite what they have to say. I still count those vacated wins in our overall win column. The only ones I don't count are the forfeitures from 1993.

Probably because there is no one single overwhelmingly dominant program in the West like there is in the East. The big 3 (now maybe 4 or maybe 3 with a substitution) in the West are all pretty much comparable. In the East, when you look at the numbers over the 21 years since expansion, there's Florida and NOBODY else. It's not so much that we have to play Florida, it's that nobody else in the West has to play anyone comparable, so they get an easier schedule. It's not rocket science. If Alabama plays two top-caliber teams (LSU and A&M) and LSU plays four (Georgia, Florida, Alabama and A&M), Alabama has a HUGE advantage. That's exactly what happened last year. If LSU and A&M had gotten to play Tennessee instead of Florida like Alabama did, the West would have ended in a 3-way tie with Alabama as the latest team to lose. Very likely, either LSU or A&M would have been the SEC West champion. Last year, of the six teams in the SEC that won 10 games in the regular season, LSU had to play four of the other five. Alabama and Georgia each only had to play two. LSU went 2-2 in its four games, while Bama and UGa each went 1-1. It was purely a function of how many tough games they had to play. And it's not just last year and this year, it's EVERY frickING YEAR. What is so hard for people to understand about this?

Of course they understand; that has nothing to do with it. Why do y'all persist in hollering? They aren't stupid, they just do not care. It's not their team getting screwed. THEY DON'T CARE. It's why Unions were formed to the everlasting detriment of our country: because workers were getting screwed and no one cared. The Same sort of universal law will play out down the road for LSU.

LSU fans are not objecting to playing UF. We want to play UF, we also want fair schedules in the SEC where some teams don't get 2 cakewalks and others get 2 top teams. It just makes no sense.

This. And there appears to be no effort by the powers that be to address it.

Or y'all can just take care of business instead of bitching. I don't recall seeing any UF fans on here crying about UGA getting Auburn and Ole Miss while we had to play A&M and LSU.

It is also worth noting that 2010 is also the year the last six of Alabama's eight SEC opponents had a bye week before facing the Tide.

Completely wrong. The NCAA if or some stupid reason does not vacate the game, they only take away the win. The loser still gets the L.
