BBQ beef is just smoked roast beef. I don’t eat it. Pork, followed by chicken, for me. Sticky sweet for the pork and Alabama white sauce for the chicken.

No God fearing American is choosing pastrami over brisket

I love a good brisket, my Cajun Father n law made a mean brisket but when he died he took it with him. (May he rest in peace, was a great guy)
I think it’s a separate category than BBQ, maybe a sub in the category. It’s not over cooked it’s slow slow cooked, if you can’t cut it with a fork and it’s doesn’t kinda melt in your mouth it’s not cooked right.
Damn it now you made me hungry.

A good pastrami is legit. We have a local place (NY deli style) that ages theirs in house for two weeks. Delicious.

So you like sticky sweet Alabama white sauce? Does that come from an aggy jizz jar?

You just stick to eating your glorified Arby’s.

LINKOne of my food regrets in life is that I didn’t get that homemade pastrami at the restaurant in Miami before Covid hit. They brought it out under a clear glass top and when they opened the top smoke poured out and it looked and smelled unreal. If I had someone to share with I would have pounced by my wife wouldn’t touch it, and it was like 40-50 bucks, but man it looked unreal.
Here it is WAGYU pastrami but it’s 88 bucks now but u only live twice, if you ever in Miami go catch some peacock bass in Kendall while u still can and eat this.

I was surprised to learn recently that brisket was considered bbq. I always thought it was just a Jewish staple food

So you thought sloppy joes and grilled chicken were BBQ?
