New working theory- OP/ Ole Sarge IS the cop. Hear me out:
1. OP repeatedly doubles down/ defends cop's actions despite a litany of evidence contrary to his story.
2. Detective Gillis has all of the telltale signs of aggy:
A. Short, cropped (military) haircut.
B. Dumb, befuddled look.
C. Hypochondria (cop rushing to hospital for "abrasion" on his leg is eerily similar to constant aggy whining over ticky tack calls during FB season).
D. First name is Bryan, an homage to his beloved college town.
E. Forgot to put on his body cam. Typical Gomer Pile behavior.
Detective Ole Sarge saw Scheffler outside the club and a light clicked on- this was his chance to ruin his hated rival's weekend (and possibly his career).
It's all so obvious.

By the time this is over, the cop will receive more punishment from his employer than Scheffler. He already got his arse handed to him in the court of common sense. And rightfully so.
Scheffler needs get his lawyer in front of a bank of cameras outside of a Louisville courthouse to announce they are filing a wrongful arrest lawsuit and are going to donate all proceeds from a judgement to charity,
