Not really. I would hate for you Guys to become like UT. It would be funny though. Popcorn would rain down from Heaven.

I still haven't even read what the allegations are.

I'm usually pretty skeptical of any stories like this that come out 8 years after the fact. Now I can be skeptical and a homer at the same time.

From the Tulsa World webpage,
LINKI played from 2001-2005.

"I was there during all of Miles' Tenure. I saw and heard a lot, so here is what I have to say.

Grades:

I rarely went to class. That was a mistake on my part. I passed some and failed some. I had passing grades in some classes, but failed them for attendance. I NEVER got any grades changed and even lost an appeal.

I never heard of tutors doing work for kids, I never saw it. What I did see what Kids who really needed help in school, were there, were there a lot, and always working. Could it have happened, easily, but from what I saw it did not. I know 1 player in particular what was there so much, he slept on the couch during breaks. he could not go home because he had so many tutors lined up.

Defo Payment thing:

I started out on defense. I was in the meetings for a year and I never heard anything of the sorts. I had defensive players as roomates and never heard it, not even a rumor.

Paying Recruits a players extras:

I was not a high profile recruit or players. I never got any extras. NEVER. I hung out with some of the high profile players and never saw any extra or heard about extras they were receiving. I did here 1 player say to me that he was getting $m but this kid was a liar, cheat, and a Class A screw up. he was a 4 star recruit though, but I sat in between 2 of the highest profile recruits we had at the time and those questions were asked and they never gave any indications of this being true.

As far as the job goes, I never had a part time job, but I know players who did. They did the work, I just dont know what they were being paid. Could they have got $10 an hour when others would have got $7, sure, but I never heard of tons of money being throw at these kids, because if it was happeneing, I should would have jumped on it.

I did hear that some high profile players getting large amounts of $ for speaking at some FCA events. these were alos OU players and TU players. I heard at 1 even, a OU QB got paid $1,500 for speaking for 30 minutes and the OSU and TU player got $250. I know this because the OSU player was a friend of mine.

The coaches said you can only make up to the NCAA limit, which during my tenure, was $2,000 a year i think.

Orange Pride and Prostitues:

Here is where I can shed the most light on. I had 8 recruits that I hosted, Chris Hall being the "highest ranked." We were given $ by the coahces for cost. This was a standard. It was per the NCAA because i remember my hosts getting this per diem for me when I was being recruited. We bought beer, we went to the strip club and we threw parties.

Orange Pride girls rarely came to our parties, were rarely with the recruits when we had them and we had them most of the time outside of tours (which the Prode girls were apart of, but the recruits family and coached were weith them the whole time). Never heard of Orange Pride girls getting with recruits.

We did not have to hire prostitues, we never had to pay girl for sleeping with recruits. 1 out of the 8 I hosted got lucky. It happens. It is College for crying out loud and happens on EVERY campus. Some girl are easy. Some high school kids will get with any girl no matter how ugly or how big they are (most men will too....lol)

This is from my standpoint. I dont know what else to say, I think the article is bogus and I think some disgruntles players who were kicked off, or made to look bad are trying to stir stuff up...Just like Kejuan Jones from OU did..."

Does anyone who has ever listened to Les really believe he would be capable of orchestrating something like this?

However if they can nail you for the new stuff, they will let the old stuff slide. i.e. bama's 2002 ruling

The NCAA didn't let jacks### "slide" in the 2002 Bama ruling. They hammered us and used a 1998 basketball case that they at the time praised us for as reason to use the repeat violator tag to nail us for earlier violations. The idea that the NCAA somehow let anything "slide" in that case is laughable.

I thought the statute of limitations was 4 years?

It is. And it isn't likely at all that IF (HUGE if) Miles was involved in this at OSU that he's doing it at LSU. That's so unlikely.

The way our compliance dept seems to be openly antagonistic to our football program, the chances of shite like that happening at LSU are nil.

Smoke and mirrors. See Exhibit A: Integrity. Exhibit B: Jeremy Hill. Coaches will do what it takes to win.

If the NCAA does find something wrong, I think they should just let the players vote on miles punishment.

Umm yes they did, you might want to go back and review your own history. They let an infraction from around 94-95 not be punished because it was outside the statute of limitations. one of the things yalls lawyers mitigated from the case. The NCAA didnt really care because they had yall on all the other stuff, with Means, being the main one

ETA. the 20k payment to kenny smith for his car or ATV or whatever it was
