Johnny Football is by far the best qb in the league.

Matt Ryan and AJ are the same Caliber QB. Decent arm and will succeed with superior weapons.

When McCarron was at elite 11 in 09 the Matt Ryan comparison were thrown around then. They even have the same thin frame.

That's an insult to Matt Ryan. I like A.J. but he has a long way to go to be a viable starting NFL QB.

He should play for Rex Ryan. They'd have a good cry together.
Don't forget Tim Tebow.

Obviously he still has to improve to get to that level, but as far as his skill set Matt Ryan is comparable. Neither have the super star arm. Both have the rail thin frame. Both manage the game well, but can make plays with superior players around them.

People are comparing how Matt Ryan plays nfl teams to how AJ plays against college teams is a little ridiculous to me. When Ryan was in college, his junior year he threw close to 3,000 yards and over 4,000 his senior year.

I'm not saying AJ doesn't have potential, but its comparing apples to oranges.

OP, are you stretching the truth?

@finebaum: Neal on AJ McCarron,'That guy's a winner, possibly a pro football player starter in the NFL. He's got a lot more ability than people know.'
You left out possibly.

AJ will throw for close to 3000 yards this year and will be back for his senior Season with ridiculous weapons next year.

All the Wrs will be back, Chris Black and DeAndrew white come back off injuries plus Bama will add OJ Howard.

Guy was always good for a pick or two when he was at BC. McCarron is far more accurate/smarter than Ryan was in college.
Ryan played a lot smarter after his first two years in the league. Who knows how chest tat will progress

I know you meant that as an insult, but Brodie's problem was that a strong breeze would cause a season ending injury.

If McCarron has Brodie level ability and any resiliency at all he'll play in the league for a long time.
