Yeah, he is going to feel this mistake for a long time. Ask cardell Jones how that goes..

Here's another surprise: according to one NFL team executive, Jones could have been drafted as high as the top 10 or 15 picks.

Well he obviously wasnt ready. He just believed that Meyer would turn him into a good NFL qb, thats just unfortunately not how it ended up. Is it that much better to be a flop when you went to the league and werent ready vs when you tried to give yourself more time to prepare and ended up not making it? I will tell you this much, people dont consider Cardale Jones half the bust they consider Jamarcus Russel.

Yeah, there’s a seven-digit number he missed out on that makes flopping in the NFL better.

I guess, some dumbass team would have handicapped themselves for a few years because he played 3 college games and could throw the ball really far.

He is much more than a guy that can throw the ball really far.

You’re comparing Herbert to Cardale Jones?

I guess he doesn’t want to play for the giants, which would seem odd.

He goes from QB1 to QB5 in one decision.

I know that he was going to make easy money this year. So, I think the better decision economically was to come out. However, this comment just doesn't take into account Herbert's ability. Oregon had shitty skill players around him. Herbert is all of 6'5" 240 (still filling out), runs an electronic 4.7, throws the ball a mile, and has a 4.1 GPA in Biology. He has an elite work ethic. Also, he is much better than his numbers. Oregon wide receivers dropped the most passes in CFB.

I don't care what year he comes out, the kid isn't dropping out of the 1st round if he stays healthy.

But an Oregon QB? I would stay clear. No offense.

I could give a shite less, to be honest. However, that is just very superficial analysis. Herbert is the most prototypical NFL qb to play for Oregon.

But they’re not comparable, whatsoever.
