We don't focus on the pseudo-track meets held indoors.

Makes sense...only the greatest programs can historically be dominant in both indoors and outdoors.

Wait. Isn't this very thread about men's and WOMEN'S track and field? Hypocrite.

The thread was only about the men's title when he made that comment. The women's title was added to the OP later.

Fun fact: Arkansas has won 56 of the 65 SEC track & field/cross country championship events since joining the league

That is fairly fawking impressive by anyone's standards.

Next question. How many of those were won, and I'm just wondering - not pointing fingers, but how many of those were won either under probation years or resulted in probation and/or sanctions being imposed?

We had to give back those national titles as well. That's whole deal was shady shite by the NCAA imo, but not much you can do.

We've had two outdoor conference titles vacated due to a recruiting violation that aren't counted in that total. Technically we've won 58 of 65.

I am middle-aged and I was a seed in my mothers womb the last time pigs won the national championship in football.

Congrats Aggies in coming in and proving yourself as the premier track program in the conference.

1. Our track focus is outdoor rather than indoor, and we are obviously better at outdoor.

2. Our teams are sprinter heavy and focused on winning NCAA Titles, not conference championships. 2 of the 3 back to back years we won the NCAA, we didn't actually win the conference.

Feel free to talk shite if you beat us at the NCAA outdoor. Otherwise, we don't really care.

Stupid way to look at it. You as a fan may not care but your team that actually does the competing cares.
