Eric Berry for sure was better defensively.
Eric Berry never dominated a receiver the way PP has done. Eric Berry has never dominated a game the way PP has.

Arenas is probably the best return guy I've seen in the SEC.
Arenas in 2009:
32 punt returns, 493 yards, 15.41 avg, 1 TD
Peterson through 4 games in 2010
14 punt returns, 253 yards, 18.07 avg, 2 TD
I'm sorry, but the numbers indicate that Peterson will surpass Arenas in yards if he continues at this pace. He has already surpassed Arenas in TDs and has a higher yard per return average.
In short, I beg to differ. PP > Arenas at punt returns THUS FAR.

Here are some guys that I would put in the running for most athletic SEC player of the last 30 years:
Hershel Walker
Bo Jackson
Cornelius Bennett
Carl Pickens
George Teague
Jamal Lewis
Jevon Kearse
Champ Bailey
Alex Brown
Karlos Dansby
Boss Bailey
Matt Jones
Darren McFadden
Percy Harvin
Tim Tebow
Eric Berry
Missing Kevin Faulk and Cam Newton.

How do you have Bennett and no Derrick Thomas?

It wasn't meant to be a comprehensive list. Thomas fits as well.

That's because he doesn't usually defend receivers one on one.

Disagree.
Eric Berry has also never been on the sideline with cramps multiple times at crucial moments of multiple games.

PP is really good but he is far from special.
LOL look I don't think he is as good as woodson, or the best evar! but a CB that runs a 4.37 laser timed and is 220 IS special. That's a fact.

But he will never be a Champ Bailey.
How can you possibly know that? It is a safer bet to say he will not than he will, but at this point nobody really knows either way.
People around here make way to many absolute statements, it gets absurd on both ends of the argument.
At this point PP7 is one of the most dominant CB's LSU has had and probably the best in the country. Other than that, EVERYTHING else is pure speculation.

You can`t compare anyone to Bo. I`m not saying he was a better RB, or he was faster, hit harder than anyone. But, it was a different time and he was the best of his time. Also 40 times weren`t cared about as much as they are now. I heard he ran a 4.1-4.2.

Disagree.
Care to explain to me when Berry dominated a game like PP dominated the WVA game?

This thread is so lame. I wish everyone would just go back to thinking Peterson was a great player with a bright future, and nothing more.
