You can use it if you want to, but the AP "Poll" consisted of one man's opinion for awhile. That is hardly definitive. There were other polls that were looked at more favorably in the early days of the AP Poll. Even when the AP changed to sports writers, they didn't see the top teams as most games were not

Pretty sure Michigan has as well.
They've won national championships is basketball and football and maybe baseball ... but I know for an fact they've been to the CWS.

I guess the parameters are BCS and CFP era for football then, I'm not the one that compiled the list
But otherwise you're correct

Arkansas fans will say anything and reach for anything to defend the fact they have a college football national title. Look, the FWAA did have some prestige along with the NFF, but it was second tier in football selectors. The standard was AP and UPI/Coaches. The majority recognize those two.
Arkansas did get screwed if we go by the standards of what the AP and UPI did post-bowls, but guess what? The standards back in the day were pre-bowl. The season was completed prior to the bowl games. Alabama in 1964 was an undefeated dual-poll national champion as the bowls were treated as a reward for a good season.
Arkansas, you only have ONE Big 3 national title. Deal with it. If you have a problem with it, have someone try and take the trophies that reside in Tuscaloosa. You can’t change history just so it benefits you.

FWAA and NFF were just as legit back then. It's good enough for Ohio State then it's good enough for Arkansas.

Ohio State doesn’t get those claims. They as a school claim them. But they aren’t nationally recognized. Alabama is all 1961. Nebraska and Texas is 1970.

Recognized by both the NCAA and CFDW.

This guy gets it

NCAA is irrelevant. NCAA will list every program that received a selector in a given year. CFDW doesn’t exist anymore. It’s no longer active. You can try all you want to spin it your way.

Yeah, that Cotton Bowl wasn't a title game for Nebraska at all.

The old NCAA website did. I am not wrong. It did exist. I’ll educate you any day on national Championships, on who has what, who should have what, etc.
