See, this is what I think too. The Pareto distribution will be in full effect. The playoff already sucks because the same teams go every year with few exceptions.

The rule should be you can transfer and play right away but lose a year of eligibility if you do so.

Will hurt the weaker teams even more.

NCAA is just making it up as they go now.

This could go either way! It could be bad for the SEC but it also could be devastating to the other 4 power conferences

You bring up a good point.Just personally when you look at the kid from Georgia who wasn’t given a wavier to transfer to be close to a family member with a terminal illness but then turn around and give the kid a wavier to go to Miami from Ohio State because they gave Fields a wavier I mean it’s just so inconsistent just open it up.

Only reason the ACC is for it is because Roy and the Tar Holes suck this year and he needs players to be honest

So if a coach REALLY wanted to screw over a rival, they could find a highly rated (and willing) QB recruit, have them commit to that rival, then get them to immediately transfer with zero penalty?

Buckle up.

Or, you dont lie to recruits. Not sure why some of you want coaches to yield all the power.

Who's lying to recruits? Hell, retention of star talent has been and issue for Auburn for it seems like a decade and Gus has had his own depth problems as well.
