The writing is on the wall. Read it. Don't be surprised to see other teams begin to schedule more cupcakes. It's not exactly fair for 1 or 2 sec teams to play the top tier games while the others get all the bottom half, then again who said life was fair.

I'm going to stay on comment here but I think you're right

I think what we're going to see over time is more OOC scheduling spread out like the SEC already does throughout the season.

If teams like Texas and Bama are going to shed their primetime OOC, i want to lean into it.

2 OOC September, 1 October, 1 November before we play A&M

As a fan that went to the OOC Bama ND and LSU games I hate this , I love a good OOC game

Do you think the person understands the challenges of voluntarily playing Ohio State OOC?

We have a 4 year run of @Michigan, @Ohio State, Ohio State, Michigan.

Nobody can claim we're scared to play ball. The SEC schedule is whatever they gave us and we'll line up and play whoever is on the schedule.

The Truth isn't too impressed but gives you a pat on the back anyway.

I figured. My "schedule" was meant to be humorous. The schedule i put forth ...well, let's face it...the best team of all time wouldn't survive it.

Good luck i the playoffs, by the way!

Whenever Kirby does well, Alabama fans like to take credit by saying he learned from the best. He has. Saban did a lot of complaining, too. That said, sometimes complaints are valid. Sometimes not.

But Alabama played cupcakes for OOC games, and it was "cupcakes" that beat them. Alabama didn't lose to some mythical daunting schedule.
That is what seems amazing to me about all of the Alabama complaints.

Yes, Arizona State,, Clemson and Indiana played a cupcake schedule, but Alabama lost to Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.

SEC Ranking of schedules according to Sagarin:

Oklahoma #2
Mississippi State #3
Georgia #4
Florida #5
Kentucky #6
LSU #8
Vanderbilt #12
Alabama #15
South Carolina #17
Texas A&M #19
Texas #20
Arkansas #22
Auburn #46
Ole Miss #48
Missouri #52
Tennessee #55

Sagarin.com

Yes, SEC teams played really tough schedules compare to many others. But that was true fro the past 20 years or so. When your conference is the best in the country, that comes with the territory. But it is also true that if you win the games your supposed ti win, you will be rewarded.
When you lose to much weaker teams you get penalized.

After next year there will be some kind of shakeup and Texas will not have to play the other half of the SEC they have so convienitly missed out on.

Watch and see. Its ok if they get the easy schedule this and next year as long as they have to play the rest the following two years. But they wont.

I don't know about that. You may be right, but I doubt it. I suspect the SEC will fall into some kind of rotation. We'll see.

That said, you should also take note tat they still had the #20 hardest schedule in the country. They probably never had that difficult a schedule in the Big 12.

This thinking is starting to get very lazy. SEC schedules range from #2 to #55, with Texas at #20.

Good Lord, give it a rest.
