I do not understand the OBSESSION how LSU spends its money!!!! LOL......LSU can compete in any sport, because of the donors deep pockets. Get over it!!!!!

Locked On also said that Wade believes he can win a national championship at LSU. Not sure I can say that though

Any school can win a NC now in any sport if the NIL support is right.

Texas Tech was in the mix this year because a billionaire decided to make it happen.

If LSU or anyone decides to buy a championship roster one year it can absolutely happen.

I think Wade is a solid coach. My concern with him is that his primary skill was "talent acquisition" which in the NIL era is downstream of booster support so in many ways I think its better to have a talent development/in game coach, but LSU will be competitive again with him particularly if the money guys have decided they care about basketball again which they obviously did to bring him back from Raleigh.

Did Wade even tell his players in person, or did he just skip town? He repeatedly threw them under the bus this year so doubt he said anything to them.

LSU is broke!

Nope. And they have proven they aren't afraid to spend to get what they want.

The $8m buyout of Wades contract goes down to $5m after April 1, so I'm betting the "official" hire date gets pushed. They also owe the current coach $8m. In addition, Wade's contract at NC St was $17.25m over 6 years and I'm certain LSU topped that. Finally, they had to have committed $10m+ to nil funds to let Wade go out and get the team he needs to win.

Even with the big contracts to the women's coach and the BK buyout, LSU athletics makes money every year. You have to applaud the fan base.

"Burn in hell" seemed to be one of the most oft used ones. Wow. That's just ugly.
