You could be SEC Champions on Saturday, and it would result in the SEC having no teams in first ever CFB Playoffs. Sweet. Awesome.

It would be a big ole F U to all the Mizzou haters. Truly awesome at that! Go Tigers!!!

Yeah but Missouri's toughest game was #6, TN's 3rd toughest was @#6. According to the numbers the TN fan posted at least - I'm assuming his numbers are right.

And it's a majorly negative thing, Mizzou could beat Bama and still wouldn't even be close to getting into the playoffs. And it's 100% because of their schedule.
Wrong, it's because we lost to a shite team like Indiana. If we were 11-1 heading into Atlanta we would 100% be in control of our own destiny.
You are preaching to the choir though. I don't like our OOC scheduling and never have.

Well sure, but how does that help you with the Playoffs? SC was a 6-6 team and A&M finished 6th in the West.
You're confusing the OP's post about "at the time of kickoff ranking" with the discussion related to the playoffs which obviously goes by the teams at the end of the year, which is 1 ranked team, UGA.
You continue to fail to realize that this is why you are not playing for a shot at a national title in the CFB Playoffs on Saturday when you should be.
It's not about the SEC, it's about the OOC. What Mizzou did in the SEC this year isn't why they're not in contention for the Playoffs. If Mizzou's OOC loss was a Top 10 Baylor or TCU type team instead of Indiana, beating Bama on Saturday would have them in the playoffs.

Lol ya think? If that Indiana loss was instead to a top 15 ranked team you'd still get in.
It's not so much the loss but the team it was to. You could have lost to a ranked tough team and you'd still have a shot Saturday at the playoffs.

Hoggs, Do you still have a coach?

Great. Missouri shite the bed against Indiana and won't play for the National Championship. No fricks given.
Missouri IS playing for the SEC Championship, in part to Bert shitting the bed last Friday. fricks given.
Thanks for doing your part to drag our SOS down.

Mizzou's schedule is pretty much on par with other SEC East schools with one big difference.
Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina and Florida all play a generally solid OOC opponenet from the ACC every year. Tennessee plays a good OOC opponent every year (Oregon, Oklahoma, etc etc). So, pretty much everyone in the East has a locked in Top 30ish OOC game each year and TN always plays one, so Mizzou and Vanderbilt are kind of down a game (unless they schedule one) in that regard. And recently, Mizzou's OOC hasn't had a good one (Indiana, UCF, Syracuse, etc).
Also, the last 2 years Missouri has played middle of the pack to bottom level SECW teams (2013 - 4-4 Texas A&M, 3-5 Ole Miss, 2014 - 3-5 A&M, 2-6 Arky).
With that said, their SEC schedule isn't that much different than UGA or Florida or South Carolina.

Ok, Arky and TN have harder schedules overall than Mizzou. But, you may have forgotten, we BEAT you. So doesn't that sort of throw cold water on that talking point?

Not without help IMO. That's all speculation anyway.
But what you said is that the schedule is keeping us out and that just not accurate. If we don't get a PI called on us on 4th down, we are 11-1 and in control of our own destiny WITH THE CURRENT SCHEDULE.
Again, Id like to schedule a better power 5 opponent but it's not what's keeping us out of the playoffs. We played Indiana last year as well, and had we beat Auburn we would have been in the BCS title game.

Yea, I agree with this.
If Mizzou goes 12-1, wins the SEC, attempted to play a Power 5 team OOC (even if it is Indiana, and this is assuming beating them), beats #1 Alabama in Atlanta they are in a 4 team playoff. No doubts.

Oh, I get it.
We're prepping the new narrative in this thread just in case lil ol Mizzou beats the big bad elephants on Saturday.
Just so I'm clear. If we win Saturday our SEC championship doesn't count right? It only counts if a championship results in a trip to the CFP, right?
I just need to completely understand how you rednecks win spin this. I mean, I know you guys will marginalize anything Mizzou does, it's just good to know your angle ahead of time.

Oh, of course it's going to be downplayed. Bama will have been overrated, we will have been lucky to even got there etc etc.
I have up giving a damn what other SEC fans think a long time ago because there is nothing we can do that will ever be good enough. It's just that simple. So, that's fine. We will play the outcast, bad guy role and keep pissing the rest of these guys off.

I don't know why you are creating some made up narrative.
If Missouri beats Alabama they will get respect, probably forever. Folks just don't think Missouri will do that. If they do, it all changes.

Nah, that just isn't true. If you beat Alabama and win the SEC it will change the narrative forever.
Quite frankly people say the same type of stuff about Georgia (and South Carolina). Maybe not the level of lucky to get to Atlanta, but definitely when comparing them to Alabama, Auburn, LSU, etc. If Georgia had won the SECCG in 2012 that narrative would have totally changed. They didn't and it didn't.
