Chambliss may be done at the collegiate level. If ole miss is counting on him they probably shouldn’t. They’re also wanting ECU qb too so they’re all over the place with this thing.

That is the hard thing about the portal. Have to balance year to year with long term development. Chambliss is a short-term solution, which may be the right answer depending on team composition. Simmons is a better long-term solution.

That is why a GM is an overlooked component of the staff. Here is an example that is closer to home for me. A&M "rented" Concepcion for a year, and it was an awesome decision. But long-term development is tough to balance for the rest of the WR room.

Weird flex considering Ole Miss was trying to match the contract, and maybe even outbid LSU.
