I'm sure you will. However if Marshy goes off and we win, I'm sure you will eat crow.

LOL of course you won't

I have them in the elite 8. They have a really good draw and Gonzaga is not a 1 seed.

Wisconsin always does well in the tourny because of their annoying style of possession basketball and white guy fundamentals and hustling.

If LSU were in the tournament, I would choose most teams over Wisconsin for a matchup because its not glamorous or eye-catching to media, boring to watch, and we'd no doubt probably lose.

Hotty Toddy though!

I think the Rebs have a chance, but I think the patience of Wisky's O will frustrate Ole Miss and make them panic some, causing them to go even faster than they normally do and jack up some crazy shots when they get the ball. Wisky's high offensive efficiency means they'll score on most of their possessions, meaning Ole Miss will have to answer nearly every trip. If Ole Miss wants a serious shot at pulling the upset, Holloway and Buckner will have to come up huge on the glass to put back some misses. Rebs can't afford to come up empty on many trips.

This^^. The Wisky/Vandy game last year was very frustrating. Wisky's defense was as good or better than any that Vandy had faced all season. Add to that the fact that they shorten the game by milking every possession and then jack up 3s as the shot clock winds down. If those go in with any consistency, it's hard to overcome mentally. It'll be a fun game to watch.

If Ole Miss wins this game it will be in spite of Marhsall Henderson.

IDK - Henderson played a smart and efficient game against arguably the best defensive team in the country last weekend.

According to Kenpom, Wisconsin is right behind UF in terms of defensive efficiency, so the challenge should be similar.

I acknowledge that his patience will be tested to say the least . If we can get Wisconsin to chase the game early we have a good shot.

UF being the best defensive team in the country holds as much weight as ND being the best D before they played Bama in the NCG. UF benefits from playing in an awful conference.

Dear Wisconsin fans:

Greetings. We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. Perhaps you’ve heard of us. We’re the University of Mississippi. We’re the flagship university of the poorest, fattest, most illiterate state in the nation. We really don’t even play basketball. Sure, we have a few basketball hoops scattered about our state capital and on a few of our more prestigious college campuses, but we’re simple country folk. All of our measly resources are funneled into farming and football. We’re like Hoosier’s without all the basketball.

Perhaps you’ve heard of our coach, Andy Kennedy. We were going to fire him until four days ago when one of our role players named Milling-something suddenly and inexplicably turned into Teen Wolf for the game's final eight minutes. Kennedy’s offensive philosophy can be neatly summarized as “SOMEBODY SHOOT.” He thinks outside the box, preferring the element of surprise caused by five players running amok without any semblance of structure or purpose in lieu of a recognizable offensive philosophy. He typically eschews the pomp and circumstance of the NCAA Tournament, preferring the understated charm of the NIT. He's the SEC’s all-time leader in exaggerated gestures and funny faces.

By all accounts Kennedy’s a hell of a guy. If you see him out in a bar (and you will), feel free to buy him a beer. And maybe a few shots, a boilermaker, and a few Jager bombs. But do not, I repeat, DO NOT, buy him anything called an Everclear Cock Punch. I don't care how many times he asks. Bad idea. Trust me. You should also refrain from accompanying Kennedy into a taxi. You’ve probably heard of his penchant for assaulting cab drivers and triggering international incidents. All true. We’re forgive and forget fans.

As for our players, we’ve pinned our hopes on a 6'2'’ streaky shooting guard who’s not all that fast and not all that consistent. Henderson’s playing for his fourth school in as many years. He’s been arrested for using counterfeit money to purchase marijuana and later served time for testing positive for alcohol, marijuana and cocaine. He’s best known for his celebratory, taunting antics and for his beer pong prowess. He celebrates big wins by posting pictures of himself wasted on Twitter. He’ll probably be out late the night before the game doing blow and searching for fat girls to take home. You should definitely try to get in his head early.

In conclusion, there's really no way you should lose this game. You can sleep well these next few nights knowing that you’ll be facing a backwoods team from Mississippi, a team led by a cabby-punching booze hound of a coach who’s never made the NCAA Tournament, a team whose offense is based upon sending a jacked-up lunatic out to jack up a bunch of three pointers. This should be a cakewalk.

Sincerely,

Ole Miss Fans

I'm with you on the craft beer. It goes well with this as does the wine. The seafood has been checked and is good. It's a wonder we still have an industry there though, thanks to the gubmint.

I'm enjoying it over here, folks. Every school has mostly good fans......except for mistake.......and always a few that aren't so good. I tend to just ignore them. Got to get back in the kitchen. Bubba can cook, by the way.
You blew your cover, everyone knows we Mississippians like our beer like we like our violence, Domestic.
Do you live in Alligator, Hot Coffee, or Midnight by chance?
I don't live anywhere near this Chance person, sounds a little too delightful to me. I think you've got me confused with Coach34.
LMAO!!!! That establishes your bonafides!! That dude is........a legend in his own mind.

I remember when the Big East was so awesome two years ago and only 2 out of 11 teams made it to the Sweet Sixteen.

The Big 10 could be in a similar position this year. They are getting all the hype and have the most to prove.

Wisconsin was easily beaten by UF this year and they barely beat Arkansas.

OM is playing well at the right time. They have a legit shot to make noise in this tournament. Physical post play and a guard that can take over a game. That's a good recipe for NCAAT success.

You are completing missing the point. Wisconsin runs schemes designed to compress the defense and suck the bigs in leaving the Wisconsin bigs with wide open threes. Discipline on defense, not athleticism is the key.

Whether or not they can knock down their 3s will be a key (like every college basketball game ever ). They shoot a ton of 3s so this is true even more. Dekker is a wildcard - if he's on we are in trouble.

They do however suck at FTs, I think the second worst in the field. Hard fouls all day.

Remember how badly our 2000 SEC Champion team was beaten by a group of 4 white starters in the Sweet Sixteen? That was a PAINFUL game to watch

All but one of those are in conference. They lost to every tournament team OOC with the exception of Cal, including a beatdown at UF. I don't think that that translates well to tournament play, so I am not buying Wisconsin. Don't know if Ole Miss will win, but I think they have a good shot.
