We don't ever back out, on anyone. Once we go in, we stay in until satisfaction has been achieved.

Dont pretty much all AD's carry some form of debt? for instance I believe bama is over 200 million. Just like most major corporation, they have debt. it's all about cash flow, debt doesnt mean a thing if you can pay it

Yes.

It is an interesting glimpse on human nature on an internet message board when people with reading-comprehension issues squeal when it's he or she who does not understand the issue of contention, and instead calls names.

There was an A&M fan on here who pointed out that Texas has "nine-figure debt," as though that was some sort of scandal.

There is another A&M fan on here who contends that A&M is not taking out ANY debt on its stadium expansion.

I took issues with both, and was ridiculed. It's like Bizarro world.

Aggressor, I'm especially disappointed in you. I've followed your posts on here and you strike me as intelligent, if not biased.

Yes.

Which is exactly why the $16 million loan is beyond the pale. A&M did not anticipate having enough cash flow to keep up with expenses and got an interest-free loan from the university to pay bills.

The loan was kept secret for several years until the school president who was later forced out divulged the loan. The athletics department was audited, and the audit was critical. People lost their job because the athletics department had to downsize. One of them was a distant friend of the family; an acquaintance, so to speak (I hate to see anyone lose their job through no fault of their own). The university took away the department's ability to write checks, loosely speaking. Those are all FACTS.

Next thing I await on here is someone accusing DeLoss Dodds of being on the Grassy Knoll in Dallas on November 22, 1963. Geez.

Now, commence the name-calling instead of refuting any of the FACTS I have laid out.

what's the point in discussing facts with you? You've time and time again proven that if someone points out that you are full of shite, as you so often are, you change the subject to some other full of shite issue in an attempt to flame Texas A&M.

And of course you are doing it in here. In a topic about Ole Miss vs Texas and the LHN, you are going full retard about athletic department debt of schools not even in the discussion topic. If your only point on the SECR is to troll A&M, maybe you should instead reflect on how sad and pathetic your life really is

I never brought up this issue, an aggie on this thread did.

and because Dollar Bill had to subsidize his retarded bonuses for winning non-revenue national championships.

The lamentations at the AAS were a sight to behold when Byrne left. He was their "insider".

Perhaps so. That has been several years ago, and things are completely different now.

I understand and acknowledge that. Never indicated otherwise.

My issues were that Charles Alan Wright never chaired an NCAA infractions appeals committee. I posted that he wasn't, and all I got was fingers pointed at me as though I was the one in error, proof be damned.

I pointed out that A&M is about to go into debt itself to pay for the stadium renovation, and was told that I was flat-out wrong.

I pointed out that NCAA infractions that include cover-up by those associated with the university are dealt with more severely than rogue boosters, and I was told I was wrong.

I can just shake my head, honestly.

Spinning? Flame fest? That was not my intention. I was merely debating the facts.

ETA: And might I add, I still wonder about another question that has evolved into a talking point about which I've asked on here, and which was never answered to my satisfaction, and which I will repeat: How did Texas kill the Southwest Conference?

start a thread on MSB. Your school is not an SEC school and trolling topics to change the subject to about what you want to talk about is fricking retarded. This topic is relevant not because it's about the horns but because it's about the Ole Miss Fighting Ackbars.

If you demand answers maybe you can have a civil discussion (provided you don't change the subject every time you get proven wrong) in the place where it fricking belongs.

Very, very rarely have I been less than civil. Direct, yes. Uncivil... I would not say that.

It was never answered to your satisfaction because your satisfaction depends on people not judging texas so harshly.

Make a MSB thread and see if anyone gives a shite.

Spoke to a good friend today who is a big TX fan and he is furious... Said it's embarassing that Dodds is using the game as a way to pimp their new network and sell PPV packages... He said it's bullshite cause the Horns had no need to expand their recruiting footprint into MS but we still got last year's game the national exposure that it deserved.. Now you have OM, who desperately wants to get TV exposure to TX recruits, HS coaches and TV sets in general and they are being denied that... He was pretty much apologetic.
