What is Ole Miss trying to hide in those phone records? They already fired Freeze.

Just a guess but perhaps they are trying to hide a pattern of misconduct.

I don't know. Freeze is done.
Nutt isn't coaching now because of Freeze. Nutt is not coaching because he just sucks at coaching and no one wants him. Give him 50k to go away.

You're right. Make it $500 and a new straw hat.

It's gonna cost a lot more than that. It will be in the millions if it goes to trial. Probably 1 million in settlement. Maybe more.

Freeze will be so broke all he will have is 1 million frequent escort points for The Nutt to go after

Hookers for underage recruits.
Hookers for underage recruits.

This is exactly what I am thinking. Ole Miss is about to screw up completely.

I'm thinking that Freeze did something really horrible that could burn the program down for a while...

Nutt is suing Ole Miss, not Hugh Freeze

Or hiding the dreaded lack of institutional control?

This.
I think the number of recruits who got university-issued hookers is what they're trying to conceal.

It's this. A claim of defamation is subject to dismissal if the statements made weee the truth. So Nutt essentially has to prove the NCAAs case, in part, to show that he was not responsible for the infractions, and thus was slandered. Showing a pattern of misconduct by exCHF and ole miss will help prove that even though they have parted ways

He is suing both, along with Ross Bjork and Kyle Campbell.

If he is suing H.F. directly, then with no insurance coverage in place, H.F. needs to get this settled by all parties. Presumably he now has to pay his own atty to defend him since the Black Bears have no doubt stopped defending him legally.

Not positive but I don't think it works that way, he is being sued for actions that were done while serving as an employee of Ole Miss.

Incorrect. Read the style of the case. Neither Freeze nor Bjork are parties to the suit.

Ole Miss is worried about something coming out. I think it the hoes for recruits. What else would they worry about?
Contacting recruits during the Dead Period? For teams that have good compliance programs, those are discovered and self reported by the teams all the time. A violation, but not a big deal.
They already admitted there was a pattern of behavior on Bucky's phone. Where were their compliance department guys?
I'd be pissed if I was an Ole Miss fan. Your administration is fricked up.
But, thanks for the off-season entertainment!
